2 The Commission seeks to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill the following VACANT POSITIONS . 1) Senior Internal Audit Officer RL5. 2) Senior Officer Collective Bargaining Negotiations RL5. 3) Secretary - RL7 (2 POSITIONS ). 4) Senior Driver -RL 8A. Job Purpose This position is responsible for implementation of the risk, compliance and governance framework and to provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls of the Commission. Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks I. Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities N/A. II. Operational Responsibilities / Tasks (i) Carry out Commission audits on systems, process and procedures to ensure compliance with (ii) established practices and policies.

6 (iii) Examine existing internal controls and systems to confirm their adequacy and relevance;. (iv) Review and report on implementation of risk management strategies and initiatives and make recommendations to correct identified gaps;. (v) Promptly implement external and internal audit recommendations and corrective actions;. (vi) Carry out special audits and investigations as and when required;. (vii) Coordinating audit exercises with external auditors and other stakeholders;. (viii) Draft reports for the Audit and Risk management Committee and Commission meetings.

Academic qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or any other relevant field of study from a recognized university. Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies (i) Possess at least CPA (K)/ACCA. (ii) Hold at least CIA part 1 or equivalent certification. (iii) Possession of CISA certification will be an added advantage.

9 Previous relevant work experience required. A minimum of Six (6) years' experience in auditing in a reputable organization. Functional Skills, Behavioral Competencies/Attributes: (i) Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;. (ii) Possess effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines. (iii) Knowledge of audit procedures including planning techniques, tests and sampling methods involved in executing audits. (iv) Knowledge of Public Financial Auditing and Results Based Performance assessment.
