1 AICE PROGRAM AND FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIPS AICE students are eligible for the FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES scholarship . All AICE students are required to fulfill the 75 hour community service project, which is required for the FLORIDA Academic Scholars Award. FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES scholarship PROGRAM FLORIDA law recognizes Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) curriculum as a method of qualifying for a FLORIDA Academic or FLORIDA Medallion Scholars award through the FLORIDA BRIGHT FUTURES scholarship PROGRAM .

2 To qualify for a BRIGHT FUTURES award utilizing the AICE curriculum option, students must satisfy the following requirements: Complete the AICE curriculum requirements and meet the appropriate SAT or ACT test score listed below.* FLORIDA Academic 1270 SAT or 28 ACT FLORIDA Medallion 970 SAT or 20 ACT Scores are based on the combined Critical Reading and Math sections only or best composite score on ACT excluding the writing section. * Other ways to qualify: AICE Diploma recipients based on AICE exams taken prior to high school graduation (must also include the community service requirement).

3 The AICE curriculum is defined as follows: Complete a minimum of 12 AICE credits* identified by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in three academic areas as follows: Two credits from Group A Mathematics and Sciences Two credits from Group B Languages Two credits from Group C Arts and Humanities Six additional credits in any combination from the above three Groups or from the Research Project (worth one credit) which requires a student to write two essays of between 3,000 and 3,500 words each from two different subjects for which AICE examinations are taken.

4 *Students earn one credit by completing one AICE full credit course and another credit for taking the corresponding AICE examination. AICE Curriculum and BRIGHT FUTURES * Students who earn an AICE diploma, based on AICE exams taken prior to high school graduation, and have completed the community service requirement will earn the FLORIDA Academic Scholars award. Completion of the AICE curriculum would require students to complete six AICE courses and take the examinations for each with at least one course and examination being from each of the three subject areas: Mathematics & Sciences, Languages, and Arts and Humanities.

5 Your Transcript Evaluations Oasis High School will automatically submit your transcript electronically to the FDOE for evaluation two times during the year, but you submit only ONE application: Mid-year after the fall term is completed and semester grades are posted. A mid-year evaluation includes fall coursework completed, spring coursework in progress, community service hours completed and test scores for test dates through January 31. Final several weeks after you graduate and all grades are posted.

6 A final transcript evaluation includes all coursework and community service hours completed, and test scores for test dates through June 30.
