3 Greer, B asileus 85th South Eastern Regional Conference o March 16-19, 2017 in Birmingham, A labama, Early registration until January 31, 2017, Late registration through February 14, 2017. Late fee of $50. o Delegates have met to discuss responsibilities o Beta Epsilon Omega submitted 18 awards for consideration 11 operational 2 individual 5 for international programs Soror Anita Curry Jackson shared that S orors are having trouble with finding rooms for Regional Conference. Soror Rasheedah Jones shared that there are still rooms available at the Sheraton Hotel with conference rate except for Friday night. T he sorority block does not include Friday night.

4 2017 Leadership Seminar Registration is OPEN o July 13-16, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV o Registration will be capped at the first 1 0,000 Sorors registered. o New Mandatory Risk Management Summit for Basileus, Membership Chairman and Graduate Advisors. The budget does not include stipend for Membership Chairman. Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority , Incorporated Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter January 2017 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 7 It was moved by Soror Rasheedah Jones and seconded to provide $700 stipend to the Membership Chairman. Motion carried. Chapter Charter Day Celebration o Celebrating 83 years of sisterhood and service at the March Chapter Meeting o Soror Janice Booker will give more information during Chapter Charter Day Report Chapter Strategic Plan o Committee will be established this year.

5 Soror Callie Stevens has provided material for the committee already. Chapter Inventory/Storage Unit o Committee Meeting will be scheduled next month. Soror Brenda Smith, Chairman. Chapter officer photo will need to be rescheduled. Leadership Team meeting will need to be rescheduled as soon as possible. The sorority Skee-Wee sound mark has been trademarked. Soror Auta Boykins shared history that Mu Epsilon chapter submitted recommendations at the Boule 2014 regarding the S kee-wee and pinky gesture to be reinstated. Programs - Soror Teleesa Payne Mason, First Anti-Basileus Program Chairman Target I: Educational Enrichment o Will continue to work at Grad Academy o Think HBCU: EAF Breakfast, Alcorn Recruitment Fair o One Million Backpacks: Collection restarts for 2017 Target II: Health Promotion o Pink Goes Red take pictures in red to support heart awareness campaign Target III: Family Strengthening o Fiscal Fitness workshop coming up Target IV: Environmental Ownership o Couture Cares prom dress drive o Committee hopes to participate in trashion show, need designer.

8 Have until June to decide on participation Scholarship Committee o 0 applications received as of yet o Soror Rasheeda shared that she will be going to select schools to help students fill out applications Relaunch of Launching New Dimensions of Service in February o Will attempt relaunch again due to inclement weather during January meeting; Toast planned as part of relaunch activities FUNDRAISING OPERATIONS REPORT - Soror Pamela Shields, Second Anti -Basileus (absent) Soror Betty Lee, co-chairman (fundraising) - reporting Explained that fundraising committee hears that many members do not want to host Fashionetta and want to pay assessment and not hold the event due to the expense Survey sent out via email to members regarding if the chapter should hold the Fashionetta Fundraising committee will have a meeting at Piccadilly Soror asked about the quarterly events in order to raise money Soror Cheryl Bingham asked that the suggestion be tabled Soror LeeAda Jones raised the issue of being in order with corporate Soror Teleesa Payne Mason asked about survey tool for operations, programs.

9 And fundraising $224 for year-long membership for Survey Monkey o There was discussion that actual cost of Survey Monkey for one-year membership was approximately $300. It was moved by Soror Teleesa Payne Mason and seconded that the Chapter purchase survey tool in the amount of approximately $224 to optimize chapter functions. MOTION FAILED Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority , Incorporated Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter January 2017 Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Page 4 of 7 Soror Mishia Thomas asked about the status of the Wild Apricot software Soror Auta Boykins explained that Wild Apricot has survey feature and would be no additional cost due to it already being in the budget Soror Anita Curry Jackson explained that Constant Contact has survey functionality but it is unclear how it works since that function has never been explored or utilized previously by the chapter Soror Tamara Jones brought up the point that the software seems to fit into the strategic plan in order

10 To find out what would work best for the chapter, presentation needs to be made CHAPTER OPERATIONAL REPORTS Archives- Soror Rhonda Campbell-Culver o Soror Rhonda Culver explained that she would like to update the chapter history book. She would like to update chapters on the Golden and Diamond Sorors. She would collect this information at the Golden Sorors monthly luncheon, and could be completed orally or written. She would like to document chapter e vents that pick up where the Beta Epsilon Omega chapter history book left off (such as 2015 MIP, Ivy Leaf pledge club, etc.) o A questionnaire has been created for Golden Sorors about their experience in the sorority .
