1 1 Alum Rock/Santa Clara Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project construction update downtown BRT Stations April 13, 2016 The following will be in effect as indicated, weather and conditions permitting: What construction of downtown BRT Stations, Santa Clara Street between 1st and 2nd Streets construction will start in the sidewalk area on the north side (westbound) of the street, working 1st Street and progressing east towards 2nd Street. A Project update will be provided every 2 weeks, or more often, as needed to advise of upcoming work downtown and at the City Hall station When Beginning week of 4/25/16 for up to 3 months Day shift: 7:00 to 3:00 Monday Friday Night shift: 7:00 to 5:00 Sunday Thursday (see What to Expect below) Where North side (west bound) Santa Clara Street between 1st and 2nd Streets What to expect Activities will include.

2 Drilling for utilities Sawcutting of sidewalk Demolition of sidewalk (overnight activity) Installation of electrical equipment New sidewalk installation High noise activities will be restricted during weekday lunch hour from 11:59 1:00 Impacts Noise and vibration from construction equipment Permanent removal of parking and loading zones on Santa Clara Street between 1st and 2nd Streets Temporary, intermittent lane closures or traffic shifts between 1st and 2nd Streets. Metered parking on the north side of Santa Clara from 1st Street, west, to the motorcycle parking in front of CHASE Bank will be removed during this time to accommodate temporary bus stop relocation Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
