4 With all the hard work and fullest effort from thesecretariat, I am very happy to announce that our newly introduced initiative today, namely theMMC APCO nlineApplication andPaymentis ready to beutilizedon the 15thof January 2011. Underthe new initiative, fully registered practitioners not only can apply for their APCs, but moreimportantly, they can conclude it this ONLINE application system, medical practitioner will be able to update their particulars,apply for their APC and pay the renewal fees through the internetwith a few mouse paymentcan be made by two methods Internet Banking MEPS; andb.

In 2010, there were about32,250 medical practitioners registered with the Council encompassing 24,500 fully registered, 7,500provisionally registered and another 250 temporarily ,000new practitionersare expected to apply for registration , this is anothergreat achievement in terms ofnumbers of doctors PRACTICING in our country.
