2 , they are also responsible for the formation of foam during almost all stages of production. For instance, the jet fills with foam and the production cannot proceed at opti-mum speed. Care has to be taken that the applied Antifoam does not negatively impact the fabric quality by staining the fabric, or does not disturb the machine Antifoam /defoamer product range comprises: Concentrates Emulsion concentrates Ready to use emulsionsDepending on the Antifoam / defoamer, it can be either added as an internal anti-foam thus being incorporated into the Textile auxiliary to prevent foam forma-tion, or added as an external Antifoam , whereby being added at the occurrence of the foam to destroy it. Figure 1. Mechanism of defoaming = defoamerThe Textile industry is facing many conflicting challenges, such as the need for higher efficiency, reducing cost through shorter product cycles while maintaining a high quality standard and continuously providing innovation.

High stability as well as high efficiency during various Textile application processes merge the advantanges of both organic and silicone Antifoams . In addition, we offer silica and silicone oil free following table summarizes the relevant property profiles of our Antifoams / %Advantages and Application SuggestionsTEGO Antifoam 793 Concentrate based on organo-modified siloxanesNon-ionicLiquid100 Water dispersable, no silicone spotting, no reverse effect on printability, excellent stability as concent-rate. Pre-defoaming of surfactant concentrates with less than 30 % water Antifoam 3062 Concentrate based on organo-modified siloxanesNon-ionicLiquid100No silicone spotting, no reverse effect on printabi-lity, excellent stability as concentrate. Pre-defoa-ming of surfactant concentrates with less than 20 % water Antifoam MR 1015 Emulsion concentrate based on organo- modified siloxanesNon-ionicLiquid70 Excellent stability in alkaline conditions, even at elevated temperatures.

4 Jet-stable. Pre-defoaming of surfactant concentrates. In aqueous media, the use of pre-dilutions (1:3 to 1:10 in water) is re-commended. Ready to use predilutions are availa-ble on Antifoam 7001 Jet stable Antifoam concentrateNon-ionicLiquid40 Emulsion concentrate with excellent jet stability and good electrolyte tolerance. Easy to dilute. Sui-table for the production of ready to use dilutions. Recommended for jet dyeing of Antifoam 2290 Silica and silicone oil free defoamer concent-rateNon-ionicLiquid100 Easy to handle as on line defoamer, for white water in nonwoven production using water Antifoam PS 10(Europe)Emulsion based on organo-modified siloxanes and other ingredientsNon-ionicLiquid10 Antifoam for jet dyeing. No silicone spotting. Dosage level may vary in dependence of process condi-tions. For preliminary trials we recom-mend a dosage of tego Antifoam 7001 between % and % (as is). Fur-ther dilution in production process is pos-sible. For use in jet dyeing applications a predilution of Antifoam in water (1 part in 4 parts of water) is recommended. Dosage level for dyeing in jet machines also depends on the kind and concentra-tion of leveling agents and dyeing sys-tems.
