2 This often results in critical gaps in service delivery to and utilization by Asian/Pacific Americans. The purpose of the 2012 Asian/Pacific American health Services Directory is to provide a resource of health , social, legal and support services that are culturally specific and language appropriate to Asian/Pacific Americans and their families in philadelphia . This Directory was designed for use by health care providers, human service agencies and community-based organizations as a source of information for referral, assistance and support. This Directory was produced by APAHC the Asian/Pacific American health Consortium. It is generously supported by the philadelphia Department of Public health , Division of Maternal, Child and Family health . While this Directory is not comprehensive, it can be a valuable resource. The publication of information about providers was authorized by the providers themselves.

Born in Vietnam, Sam has lived in philadelphia since 1972. She is a recognized leader and advocate for Asian/Pacific American health issues, working extensively with immigrants/refugees, particularly women and children.
