7 This is substantially due to the unpredictable nature and behaviour of fire and extreme weather conditions. Additionally, the achievement of and level of implementation of BUSHFIRE MANAGEMENT measures will depend, among other things, on the actions of the landowners or occupiers over which BUSHFIRE Prone Planning has no control. All surveys, forecasts, projections and recommendations made in this report associated with the project are made in good faith on the basis of information available to BUSHFIRE Prone Planning at the time. All maps included herein are indicative in nature and are not to be used for accurate calculations.

The development site is within a designated BUSHFIRE prone area. The BUSHFIRE Hazard Level on the Lot is currently Moderate and Extreme.
10 Within 100 metres of the Lot boundary the BUSHFIRE Hazard Level is Moderate and Extreme, with exposure on the eastern boundary to an Extreme BUSHFIRE Hazard Level. The assessed BUSHFIRE risk is considered to be manageable. It is expected that a maximum BAL rating of BAL-29 and a minimum of BAL-19 would be considered acceptable for development by the City of Busselton. Achievable BUSHFIRE Attack Levels (BALs) have been assessed using Method 1. The highest expected BAL rating is BAL-29 and the lowest achievable is BAL-19. Future buildings will be constructed to standards, required by AS 3959-2009 Construction of buildings in BUSHFIRE prone areas, which correspond to the assessed BALs.
