April Preschool Newsletter - Whatcoat

April Preschool Newsletter We seem to finally be enjoying some warmer weather. April Showers bring May Flowers! We have spent so much time indoors and will be excited to spend time outside. Our children strengthen growing muscles when they are climbing, running, playing ball and jumping. This month we will also be taking time to discuss all the changes around us. In the month of April children will be learning about flowers growing, babies being born and colors around us. One thing parents can do is take the time to point out all of these wondrous miracles God shows us in everyday life. You will be helping them expand their language, communication skills and help them to be eager learners.

1 April Preschool Newsletter We seem to finally be enjoying some warmer weather.

2 Earth day is April 17, you can take your child out and show them how to fly a kite, start riding that bicycle (practice for the Trike-a-thon May 5 & 6) or spend an afternoon watching cloud shapes and blowing bubbles. Keep in mind, your child is always learning. Parents, we thank you for your continued support of our many ongoing projects. We are still receiving ink cartridges and Campbell s soup labels. We use these programs to help the Preschool , church and other programs become more successful by recycling and taking care of the earth. By setting this example we hope our children will continue to have a great place to grow up. We will also hold the Trike-A-Thon on the May 5 & 6.

3 All children can participate by riding their tricycle or bike. HELMETS required! (There is no rain-date, we ride in the Fellowship hall). Please bring bikes and helmets labeled. Riding times: 2 s 10-10:20 3 s 10:25-10:45 (Michelle & Allison) 4 s (Stacy) 10:50-11:10 4 s (Carmen) 11:10-11:30 ** Please make sure you have checked into registering your soon to be Kindergartener some time this month. Most will require a birth certificate and a bill with the home address. Please call the school district to find out which elementary your child should attend. They will also let you know if there is something else you will need to bring. The schools usually complete a screening of your child.
