ArcTool Quality Functions - FANUC Robotics

ArcTool QualityFunctionsBasic DescriptionThe ArcTool application softwarepackage offers many options todiagnose problems and improvethe Quality of the productionprocess. Some of these optionsinclude: Data Monitor Cycle Time Logging andDisplay Fault and Incident Reporting Email ClientData Monitor works as a dataacquisition system by providingfunctionality to sample, monitor andrecord data. Up to six items can besampled at one time including I/O,system variables, registers, andKAREL variables. Recorded datacan be displayed on the iPendant and/or formatted into a data filethat can be easily imported into aspreadsheet program.

1 ArcTool QualityFunctionsBasic DescriptionThe ArcTool application softwarepackage offers many options todiagnose problems and improvethe Quality of the productionprocess.

2 Datamonitor can also alert an operatoror PLC if a parameter goes outsideits defined Time Logging and Displaytracks and displays teach pendantprogram (TPP) cycle times. Thesecycle times are tracked based onindividual cycles and hourlyaverages. Multiple cycles can beviewed in a bar graph format on theiPendant to observe trends. Cycletime data can also be saved to atext file for viewing and Incident Reportingoption graphically displays robotfault information. Problem areascan be identified by viewing a bargraph that shows the top five faultsby incident, longest time, and totaltime.

3 The graph only shows faultsthat occur during production andsorts out repetitive faults that werenot fixed. The bar graphinformation can be downloadedand saved for viewing Clientallows the robot to send production, downtime, or Quality information to specific usergroups. Emails can be initiated by auser (web server, TPP or KAREL programs), or by a specific event(using triggers or conditionmonitors). The content of templatescan be dynamic by includingattachments and SSI and BenefitsData Monitor Simple user interface allowseasy setup and customization. No additional hardware required with welding powersupplies that supply feedback to the robot.

4 Useful for analyzing the currentfeedback for Through Arc SeamTracking (TAST) applications tofine tune weld and trackschedules. Fault and I/O notification foridentifying defective parts. Valuable as a diagnostic toolduring initial setup or production. Provides documentation ofimportant welding processparameters (voltage, current, wirefeed speed, arc detect status)useful for Quality control Client Integrated help and errorchecking on the iPendant aids in template creation. Choose from an offering ofstandard templates or makecustom ones. Send text messages to cellphones or Time Logging and Display Displays motion, process, application and fault times.

5 Cycle time data can be viewed for multiple cycles in order toobserve and Incident Reporting Easily see which faults arecausing the most Robotics America, , NCToronto, Canada3900 W.
