2 DeviceLogixallows you to control outputs and manage status information locally, within the blockusing the DeviceLogix Editor, a function-block based tool that is a part of RSNetWorxfor MaXum has rotary node address switches that set the address yourequire. You set module parameters using RSNetWorx for DeviceNet or a similiarconfiguration MaXum is compatible with the KwikLink flat media system forcommunication on DeviceNet networks, but also provides connectivity to the roundmedia system as well. ArmorBlock MaXum builds upon the durability and features ofthe standard ArmorBlock I/O with additional diagnostic capabilities, cost savings, ArmorBlock modules contain I/O circuits, a built-in power supply, and a built-innetwork adapter in sealed housings to eliminate the need for enclosures. Ideal forapplications requiring highly distributed I/O blocks in locations close to sensors andactuators, they are compatible with PLC programmable controllers or SLC programmable controllers using DeviceNet scanners.

3 Therefore, ArmorBlockmodules I/O values are accessible from the PLC or SLC programmable controller 1732 ArmorBlock I/O family consists of stand-alone 24V dc I/O modules, whichcommunicate via the DeviceNet or PROFIBUS networks. The sealed IP 67 housing ofthese modules requires no enclosure. (Note that housing other than IP 67 mayrequire an enclosure.) I/O connectors are sealed M8 (pico) or M12 (micro) styleswhile the network and auxiliary power connectors are sealed M12 1792-SG001A-EN-P July 2004 FeatureBenefitArmorBlockMaXum I/OArmorBlock I/ORotary node address switchesSet the module node address without using software No mounting restrictionsModule can be mounted horizontally or vertically AutobaudModule automatically matches system baud rate no crashing due toincorrect baud setting Selectable input filtersSelect off-to-on and on-to-off delays best suited for your application Self-configuring I/OEach I/O point can be an input or an output Universal PNP/NPN inputsUse either type of input without using different blocks Hard-wired.
