Repeat rows 1-24 15 times more to make a complete circle. Cast off. Join seam as neatly as possible by flat oversewing to minimise join. Centre Flower This flower looks nicer knitted in stocking stitch but does tend to curl so can be knitted in garter stitch if preferred.

5 However I did find that sewing round the edges of the petals in blanket stitch made it lie better and also made it look more finished. You could also crochet a chain edge to it or sew on any edging it s up to you! Work 2 pieces Cast on 8sts, work 2 rows (K and P if st-st, both K if g-st) Row 1: Inc in 1st 2sts, turn and work on these sts ONLY(4sts) Row 2: P Row 3: Inc in all 4sts (8sts) Row 4: P Row 5: Inc in 1st and last sts (10sts) Row 6: P Row 7: Inc in 1st and last sts (12sts) Rows 8-10: St-st Row 11: Dec 1 st at each end of row (10sts) Row 12: P Row 13: Dec 1 st at each end of row (8sts) Row 14: P2tog, P4, P2tog (6sts) Row 15: K3tog twice (2sts) Row 16: P2tog Fasten off.

6 Repeat this set of 16 rows on next 2 sts, then foll 2 sets of 2sts and you end up with 4 petals. Join both sets in a circle and sew one in the centre of the Shawl to cover central hole. Place 2nd circle of 4 petals over it so petals overlap to create flower. Sew in place. Add any embellishments and thread ribbon through if desired. snuggly (First Piece) Cast on 49sts and K 4 rows. Work as follows: 1st row: K1, *K2tog twice, [yon, K1] three times, yon, [Sl 1, K1, psso] twice, K1, rep from * to end 2nd row: P Repeat these 2 rows 5 times more and 1st row once more. K 1 row Next row: K1, *yfwd, K2tog; rep from * to end Next row: K inc one st in centre of row (50sts) Cont in bramble st as follows.

7 If using more than one colour for this st, colours are introduced in rows 2 and/or 4 and changed every 2 rows to give the striped effect. Two colours can be alternated or you could use 3 or 4 if you fancy a brighter ring! 8 Work 2 pattern panels as below placing the 17sts of panel in each of the 2 17-st panels placed in the foundation row. The bobbles can be effectively done in another colour by using an (approx) strand of yarn per bobble.
