Belleville Washers are often used to solve vibration,thermal expansion, relaxation and creep problems. TheLee Spring line of Belleville Washers are made of Type300 Stainless Steel and are passivated to removecontaminants and further improve corrosionresistance. Type 300 Stainless Steel is slightlymagnetic and is recommended for any applicationwhere the temperature is below 500 F (260 C). LeeSpring Belleville Washers are offered in a wide rangeof diameters and bolt Washers can be stacked in Series , parallel, or acombination of both to achieve varying loads and height.

2 BellevilleWashers can be used in 4 different ways:A single Belleville Washer has a specific load for a given washers stacked in parallel will yield double the load of a singlewasher for the same deflection; three washers will yield triple theload; four washers will yield four times the load, etc. Alternatively, two washers stacked in Series will yield double thedeflection of a single Washer for the same load; three washers willyield triple the deflection; four washers will yield four times thedeflection, etc. Various Series -parallel combinations therefore can provide a widevariety of combined results of load versus deflection for the , depending on the application, the designer can: Stack in parallel to increase the load.

3 Stack in Series to increase the deflection Adjust the load and deflection of a Washer stack by adding orremoving individual washers and/or the sequence in which theyare used, whether in Series or parallel.
