2 : ZICTA/ORD/06/2018 Employer : Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority Lusaka, Zambia iii Invitation for Bids (IFB) Date: February 26, 2018 TENDER No. : ZICTA/ORD/06/2018 TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF THREE (3) BRAILLE PRINTERS AND FORTY (40) DESKTOP COMPUTERS WITH JAWS SOFTWARE TO FOUR SELECTED LEARNING INSTITUTIONS The Government of the Republic of Zambia has provided funds towards the cost of advancing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) development in education and intends to apply part of the funds to cover the eligible payments under the Contract for the TENDER for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of three (3) braille printers and forty (40) desktop computers with Jaws software to four selected learning institutions.

3 In the 2018 Universal Access Services Fund, the Authority has made a provision towards the cost of acquiring equipment and related software for the visually impaired, and intends to apply some of the proceeds of these funds to payments under the contract for which the Invitation for Bids has been issued. The Authority Procurement Committee now invites sealed bids from reputable and eligible companies for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of three (3) braille printers and forty (40) desktop computers with Jaws software to selected learning institutions to four selected learning institutions.

4 The TENDER is packaged in Lots as follows: Lot No. Description Quantity 1 Braille Printers with starter rolls of braille paper 3 2 Desktop Computers with Jaws software 40 Section I. Instructions to Bidders iv Bidders must quote for all items and quantities specified in a Lot and are free to participate in one or both Lots. Bidders not quoting for items and quantities specified in a Lot will be considered non-responsive. The award of contracts shall either be on Lot basis or a combination of Lots, and the Purchaser will award the contract(s) to the most economical combination.
