JonesThe year 2016 brought exciting new opportunities as well as continued blessings to Youth For Tomorrow . Thirty years ago, Joe Gibbs had the idea of a place where young at-risk boys could become focused on their education and future, accept strong personal values and discipline and seek faith in their lives. No one could have imagined in 1986 that a small Christian group home for four boys would grow to become a multidimensional, Christian-based organization serving many thousands of children and adults in our residential program and in the community and is by the Lord s design that YFT has become what we are today -- a nationally accredited residential treatment and counseling center.

A state and nationally accredited secondary school and a nationally accredited behavioral health program which meets the needs of children and their families throughout Prince William County, Northern Virginia, the nation and the world. With your support, we have increased exponentially the number of children and their families we have helped! We have made your donations stretch further and served more children in crisis than ever before. In 2016, we served 8,123 children, adolescents and families, including 847 boys and girls in residence and 7,276 served by our behavioral health specialists in satellite offices and schools.

These are whom we help: children who are victims of parental neglect, physical abuse in the home or bullying in public schools an increasingly serious cause of emotional and psychological issues. We see girls who have been prostituted by a parent to pay for drugs, pregnant teens who have nowhere to go and no knowledge of how to take care of a child, young boys and girls who join gangs in search of a family and military veterans who need emotional support to return to a normal life. And we help families facing crises.

Residential ProgramOur residential program, with 10 homes, continues to grow. We continue to maintain our historical success rate of 85% in young lives who complete our program and go on to college, the military, and employment in the community or successfully reunite with their families. During this past year, thanks to the generosity of HomeAid Northern Virginia, Toll Brothers and YFT philanthropist Bob Wiser, we dedicated and opened another girls home. We increased opportunities for spiritual growth with the creation of the David and Karen Budd Outdoor Worship Center.

At the same time, we broke ground for the Peterson Family Chapel right in the center of our campus. This is a dream we have had for years, now brought into sight by the Peterson Family Foundation s major naming Health Services We added to our ability to provide and broaden our behavioral health services into Fairfax County with the acquisition of Fairfax County-based Adolescent and Family Growth Center (AFGC), an organization which brings exceptional experience in the area of therapeutic foster care.

YFT continues to provide an array of services in Prince William County through three community-based satellite centers and 26 Prince William County Public Schools. In 2016 we signed a memorandum of understanding for a pilot program in six Fairfax County Public Schools. We are pleased to report that our Behavioral Health Services programs also achieved a heartwarming 98% success rate based on responses to a survey of the children and adult clients we Outreach In addition to reports on our residential and community-based programs, you ll find news about our year the events, the community outreach and 4the successes achieved.

Please celebrate with us the honors received by Youth For Tomorrow as well as the recognition bestowed on our supporters and staff. You also will find a report on our income and expenditures, including a fact of which we are very proud: our expenses for program administration remain at only -- a very low percentage of our total budget! Even when corporate expenses are viewed from a broader perspective, our general and administrative expenses are only of our total budget and our special event fundraising expenses from four record-breaking events are only of fundraising revenue.
