6 Truck manufacturers have used the following configurations to be - front drum - rear drumB - front disc - rear drumC - front disc - rear discThe front drum/rear drum configuration requires the use of BRAKE lining with more stopping power than traditional products in addition to increasing the size of the brakes. Super Stop offers a full line of RSD BRAKE lining on remanufactured shoes. We are pleased to offer ABEX, MERITOR and bendix branded products in the RSD category. RSD material is noted in the lining type cate-gory of part number listings. Disc BRAKE pads and components are available at all Fort Garry Industries locations. Our experienced staff will assist in answering any questions you may have about what products and solutions are needed for your application.

7 Note: the use of RSD BRAKE lining is not a mandatory requirement on any truck or trailer once vehicle has been put into service. There are no legal requirements to specify or mandate RSD products in the aftermarket/service Super Stop BRAKE lining of your choice is available on all the newer shoe types and sizes. PROCESSWASHING: Before any shoe is handled it undergoes a complete washing process to remove oil, grease and residue from previous use. The pull-through cleaning system uses 300 jet nozzles, spraying water at 185 F without the addition of any chemicals to remove the debris. DELINING: Super Stop utilizes an automated and semi-automated operation to remove the old lining from the shoe and prepare it for the next step in the process. SHOT BLASTING: Following removal of the lining, each shoe receives extensive shot blasting to completely clean and prepare it for remanufacturing.

8 This is critical to maintaining the overall integrity of the rebuild process. COINING: Our 1500 ton coining press corrects imperfections to the shoe s table radius and flatness as well as any twisting or general distortion. Coining leaves lines that run from the cam to the anchor end. QUALITY CONTROL: Each shoe is inspected at this point to determine it meets our Quality Control guidelines. Shoes that have deteriorated, broken or exceeded life cycle, are discarded and sent to a steel recycling facility. Brand new steel shoes are constantly added to maintain quality of the finished product. Each shoe is inspected for rust, elongated rivet holes, and roller anchor wear. Super Stop quality control inspections are performed at 10 different stages of the remanufacturing process, including final COATING: Our SuperSeal Coating, has been specially formulated to withstand the effects of de-icing products used across the country, protecting the shoe from any re-emergence of rust, commonly referred to as rust-jacking.

9 RIVETING: Super Stop s riveting machines are capable of doing 8 mm, 10 mm, 3/8 and 1/4 rivets. These machines are able to accommodate for differences in table thickness. Each machine has an automatic rivet feed to ensure that the rivets are properly fed into the shoe. RELINING: The Super Stop remanufacturing process is all about providing a solid BRAKE foundation. We take relin-ing shoes to the next level for our customers by attaching the BRAKE lining of choice to their shoe. The result is an OE quality relined BRAKE shoe ready for installation.
