Haitian Heritage Month is celebrated each May. This occasion gives our diverse community an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the many historic, social, and cultural contributions of Haitians in our community, nation, and world. The purpose of the Haitian Heritage Month instructional resource guide is to provide schools with background information, lesson plans, and a list of appropriate Internet resources to support instruction during Haitian Heritage Month and throughout the school year.
