2 No schooling of horses in SHOWING arenas / collecting areas 3 FESTIVAL of SHOWING & BSPA WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFIERS FOR: BRITISH SKEWBALD & PIEBALD ASSOCIATION (BSPA) Royal International Horse Show: 24th July 2018 Classes 3 9 are qualifiers for the RIHS. All horses/ponies must be registered and all owners/riders BSPA members prior to the show. Membership cards must be carried in the ring by competitor and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153cms or under (Shetlands exempt) must possess a current a current JMB certificate. Competitors qualifying at this show for the RIHS must submit their entries by recorded delivery post with full payment within 48 hours of qualifying to the SHOWING Secretary, All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, West Sussex, RH17 5NU.

3 Schedules and entry forms can be downloaded at All stallions must be graded and licensed by BSPA or hold a BSPA SHOWING Permit (Contact BSPA for stallion permit SHOWING information) for BSPA and have a BSPA stallion ID card and wear a BSPA stallion ID Disc. No rider under 14 may exhibit a stallion in any class. Qualifications: 1st place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2nd or 3rd will qualify. No competitor may qualify from lower than third place. Highest placed Amateur and highest placed Junior in each class qualify for Amateur and Junior Supreme championship finals to be held at BSPA World of Colour championship Show at the College EC, Keysoe, Bedfordshire. All Champion and Reserve Champion winners qualify for the BSPA Star CHAMPIONSHIPS at WCC. World CHAMPIONSHIPS of Colour: Saturday 15th September 2018 1st 3rd qualify automatically 1st 4th qualify from classes with 10-12 competitors 1st 6th qualify from classes exceeding 12 competitors BRITISH MINIATURE HORSE SOCIETY (BMHS) Royal International Horse Show: 24th July 29th July 2018 Affiliated to the British Miniature Horse Society and run under BMHS Show Rules.

4 Owners and Handlers entering horses in classes 53 58 must be paid up SHOWING members of the British Miniature Horse Society. The first two up to fourth place who have not already qualified will qualify. BRITISH SHOW HORSE ASSOCIATION (BSHA) Royal International Horse Show: 24th July 29th July 2018 Classes 36 42 are qualifiers for the RIHS. The first prize winner will qualify to compete at the final. If already qualified the second will qualify. If the first and second have already qualified then the third will go forward. Horses must be registered with the BSHA and all Owners, Exhibitors and Riders must be Association Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on the entry form. Horses competing at the RIHS and qualifying shows in Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa.

5 This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. The three highest placed prize winners in each Open Affiliated class will qualify to compete in the BSHA Classic Supreme classes at the National championship Show September 2018. The BSHA offer a Novice, Young Rider and Amateur rosette in each Open class and a Champion rosette for each section (with the exception of Open Working Show Horse, Ladies Show Horse & HOYS Hunter classes). The Association will also award an Amateur Home Produced rosette in each Affiliated Open Cob (Lightweight & Heavyweight only) classes. These rosettes have been kindly sponsored by TSG, Mr L Turley. The awards will go down the line; there is no limit on how many of these rosettes can be claimed in a year. 4 P(UK) YOUNG RIDERS championship RIHS AND P(UK) M&M AMATEUR RIDERS Royal International Horse Show: 24th July 29th July 2018 Classes 32-35 are qualifying classes for the RIHS.

6 Owners must be Annual Members, Riders must be current P(UK) Annual or Junior/Senior Riders Club Members and the Ponies currently registered with P(UK) before the time of entry in order to compete in these classes. NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY (NPS) This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non-Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring FESTIVAL 2018. The NPS General Rules for SHOWING apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2017/2018 Novice and Pure Novice WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS will not debar ponies from the NPS 2018 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.

7 SPORT HORSE BREEDING (SHB(GB)) Royal International Horse Show: 24th July 29th July 2018 Classes 24 - 28 are qualifying classes for the RIHS. In the amateur hunter classes, the two highest placed smalls, the two highest placed lightweights, the two highest placed middleweights and the two highest placed heavyweights will qualify. Judges must place all horses to determine qualifiers. Only horses on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and riders must be members of the Society. Day Ticket = 35 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 show s in the year it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days.

8 TRADITIONAL GYPSY COB ASSOCIATION (TGCA) AFFILIATION NO: 03/17/026 TOYS September 2018. Classes 50 52 are qualifying classes for the TOYS CHAMPIONSHIPS . These classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's (TGCA) National Breed championship Show TOYS , held annually in September. Full details can be obtained from Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs. Stallions All stallions (four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class, must be licensed with the TGCA prior to the show AND have their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members will receive a qualification card from the judge and will have 21 days to join the TGCA and to register their horse in order to validate this.

9 TOYS Qualifications will be awarded to the top three youngstock, small senior IH, large senior IH, small ridden, large ridden and to the highest placed junior and restricted exhibitor. Please refer to for further details including membership, horse registration and SHOWING rules (contained within the member s handbook). ALL Qualification cards (where issued) MUST be in the Rider s / Handler s possession IN THE RING and given to the Judge to sign, otherwise qualification will pass to the next un-qualified competitor under each Society s rules. OPEN CLASSES are open to any type or colour of horse / pony, conforming to the class description or requirement re breed, type, age or gender. PRIZE MONEY where offered will be posted to the owner within 28 days of the show. CLASS TIMES rings will commence at times shown, thereafter classes will not start before the scheduled times.

10 Class times are dependent upon class size and the Judge s progress. BSPA MEMBERS are able to qualify for the BSPA World CHAMPIONSHIPS of Colour on Saturday 16th September from all eligible classes in this schedule as above. 5 DEFINITIONS BSPA HOME PRODUCED CLASSES These classes are open to horses and ponies that have been stabled at home (without any paid assistance) or kept at livery on a DIY basis since 1st January 2018. Horses / ponies must not have been shown or trained by a professional Producer or kept at livery at any time during this period (except for service in the case of Brood Mares). To be owned/kept, produced, ridden / handled by a person who does not derive their main income from working with horses / ponies. It is anticipated that exhibitors will enter in the true spirit of this competition. BSPA AMATEUR CLASSES These classes are restricted to exhibitors who do not: a) Engage in breeding, livery, buying, selling or dealing in a commercial capacity.
