2 Onc e you submit your application to PG& E we wil l creat e a schedule to mee t you r Service connection needs. Follow these steps to get started: Befor e contacting PG&E, you must secure the appropriate permits required by your cit y or county Building and planning department. Be sur e to have all approved documentation read y to submit to PG&E, thi s wil l hel p sav e tim e as you begin your project. 1 2 Appl y for Appl y for Change to existing electri c Service usin g Customer Connections Onlin e at Change to You wil l be assigned a dedicated PG&E customer Service existing representative who becomes the point of contact for you or your contractor.

3 PG& E recommends you contact an electrical contractor to hel p you plan you r Service Change . Service 3 PG& E will contact you within thre e days A PG& E representative wil l contact you within thre e days . You or your contractor will be aske d to supply detail s of the project including scope, timeline, blueprints an d the load requirements for the electrical appliances you pla n to install. You r PG&E representative can answer you r questions and infor m you of issue s you may not have take n int o account, such as potential cost s or technica l standards. If necessary, a fiel d meeting wil l be scheduled. PG& E use s the information you suppl y during a phone or on- sit e meet in g to prepare a project design.

Fo r mor e information about excavating a utilit y trenc h refer to Getting Started Guide: Trenching at Before you dig , cal l Underground Service Alert at 811 Monday through Frida y fro m 6 . to 7 . except for holidays. 6 Approve contract and mai l with payment In certain situations, you r representative may fin d that ther e is no need to upgrade your Electric Service or the utilit y facilities in you r neighborhood and you wil l be notified tha t there are no further step s to be taken. If however, we fin d that alterations need to be made to you r overhead or underground Electric Service , along wit h the project design, you will receive a contract for the ful l amount of the project work.

7 If you woul d like PG& E to proceed, mai l the signed contract along wit h your payment in the pre- addressed envelope provided to expedite processing and minimize delays. 7 Schedule Wor k wit h you r PG& E representative to schedule any construction wor k to be completed by PG&E. construction 8 Schedule Arrange for the appropriate local government agency to inspect the Electric panel.
