1 ISF Schools Winter Games 2018 Grenoble France 05/02 10/02/2018 Bulletin 1 1 INTRODUCTION The VISION2030 advocates that School Sport should become more ambitious and more innovative, the launch of multisport events one of the strategic actions to implement the vision. In line with the Vision, the World Schools Championship Ski is converted into a new winter multi-disciplinary event, the Schools Winter Games including, next to the traditional ski disciplines (Alpine and Cross-Country), 6 new winter sports, open for selected teams. The new format will create also the opportunity to set up and reinforce links with the respective national federations concerned.

2 The Executive Committee (EC) of the International School Sport Federation (ISF) entrusted the organisation of the 1st Schools Winter Games to Grenoble, France. The event will take place in the framework of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Winter Olympic Games in Grenoble in 1968. 3 When the distance between Grenoble and the capital of a participating country on another continent exceeds 5000 kilometres the delegation may extend its stay by arriving one day earlier or leaving one day later at the normal daily fee (50 EUR). Delegations are to arrive on 5th February and to depart on 10th February after breakfast. The organisation of an extended stay for the delegation (before or after the event) is a matter for the country concerned. It shall not be the responsibility of the Local Organising Committee. All students in a selected team must have been enrolled at a School in the country they represent since the beginning of the School year 2017/2018. All students must be attending schools which provide a general education. The following are not eligible to participate: pupils of vocational schools who only attend that School as a complement totheir vocational training; School teams and pupils enrolled at schools which provide sports trainingwithout any general education; part-time ( afternoon) sports schools which take pupils from a variety ofschools for training in one or more sports; teams formed as part of clubs, companies, universities or other : the coach is the trainer dedicated to his/her team.

9 Participating countries are bound to have one coach per team. Head of Delegation: He/she may not combine the function of Head of Delegation and coach or another official function. He/she shall be the sole intermediary between his/her delegation and the Organising Committee, the ISF Technical Commission and the ISF Delegate. Deputy Head of Delegation: He/she may not combine the function of Deputy Head of Delegation and coach or another official function. He/she shall assist the Head of Delegation in his/her function and represent him/her in case of absence. Umpires: Umpires, judges and referees shall be provided by the Organising Committee.

10 Additional adults: function must be specified: doctor, physiotherapist, interpreter, security personnel, ministry representative, Any other additional person will not be considered part of the official delegation and will not be accredited by the OC. Participants obligations: Each participant is required to be present throughout the whole duration of the event. Each participant is obliged to take part also in all of the non- Sport activities. Each team undertakes to compete against all other participating teams. Each participant undertakes to compete against all other participants. The absence of any member of a participating team from any part of the entire Sport programme, opening-, prize-giving- and closing ceremonies and socio-cultural programme may result in the team being excluded from the
