2 It provides guidance and proce-dures for Air FORCE aviation support to public and military events and applies to Air FORCE personnel whoapprove, plan, coordinate, and participate in these events. It also implements Department of Defense(DoD) Directive , Public Affairs Community Relations policy , 20 November 2001; DoD Instruc-tion , Public Affairs Community Relations policy Implementation, 13 November 2001; and DoDDirective , Leases and Demonstrations of DoD Equipment, 16 February 1995. This publicationapplies to the Air National Guard (ANG). For the purpose of this INSTRUCTION , the ANG is functionallyconsidered to be a major command (MAJCOM).

3 Use of the term A3 is synonymous with DO and recommended changes and conflicts between this and other publications to the Air FORCE Opera-tions Group (HQ USAF/A3OO), 1480 AF Pentagon, Washington, DC 20330-1480, on Air FORCE Form847, Recommendation for Change of Publication. Any organization may supplement this , field operating agencies (FOAs), and direct reporting units (DRUs) must send one copy oftheir supplement to the Air FORCE Operations Group (HQ USAF/A3OO), 1480 AF Pentagon, Washington,DC 20330-1480. See Attachment 1 for a glossary of references and supporting information. Ensure thatall records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance withAFMAN 37-123, Management of Records (will become AFMAN 33-363), and disposed of in accordancewith the Air FORCE Records Disposition Schedule (RDS) located at (PACAF) This supplement implements and extends the guidance of Air FORCE INSTRUCTION (AFI) 11-209 , Air FORCE Participation in Aerial Events, 4 May 2006.

4 This supplement applies to all Pacific Air Certified Current 23 April 20092 AFI11-209_PACAFSUP_I 4 MAY 2007 Forces (PACAF) units participating in any aerial events as described in AFI 11-209 , Aerial Event Policyand procedures ; AFI 35-101, Public Affairs Policies and procedures ; and AFI 34-242, Mortuary AffairsProgram. This supplement applies to PACAF-gained Air National Guard (ANG) aircrew. This supple-ment does not apply to Air FORCE Reserve Command (AFRC) units and members. PACAF units may sub-mit suggested improvements to this supplement via AF IMT 847, Recommendation for Change ofPublication, through standardization and evaluation (stan/eval) channels, to HQ PACAF/A3T, 25 EStreet Suite I232, Hickam AFB HI 96853-5426.

5 Units may supplement this INSTRUCTION according to guid-ance contained in AFI 33-360, Volume 1, Air FORCE Content Management Program Publications, and itsPACAF Supplement; however, unit supplements will not duplicate or be less restrictive than the basic AFIor this supplement. Units must have prior approval from HQ PACAF/A3T on all unit supplements beforepublishing. Post approved unit supplements behind the basic AFI and PACAF Supplement 1. Ensure allrecords created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance withAFMAN 37-123, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with the Air FORCE RecordsDisposition Schedule (RDS) (available at ).
