It provides guidance and procedures for reenlisting and extending enlistments in the Regular Air FORCE (RegAF), the Air FORCE Reserve (AFR) and the Air National Guard (ANG). In collaboration with the Chief of Air FORCE Reserve (AF/RE) and the Director of the Air National Guard (NGB/CF), the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services (AF/A1) develops policy for reenlistment and enlistment in the United States Air FORCE . This publication may be supplemented at any level; all Major Command (MAJCOM) level supplements must be approved by the Human Resource Management Strategic Board (HSB) prior to certification and approval.
