2 It applies to AF. Reserve Command (AFRC) and Air National Guard (ANG) Units. This directive MANUAL provides procedures in support of guidance from Department of Defense (DoD) and the AF. This guidance includes DoDM , DoD Supply Chain Materiel Management Regulation; DoD. Directive , Equipping the Reserve Forces; DoD , DoD Integrated Materiel Management (IMM) for Consumable Items: Operating Procedures for Item Management Coding (IMC); DoD , Shelf-Life Item Management MANUAL ; DoDI , National Guard and Reserve Equipment Report (NGRER); and AF Policy Directive (AFPD) 23-1, Materiel Management Policy and Procedures. Refer recommended changes and questions about this 2 AFMAN23-122_ACCSUP 20 JULY 2017. publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate functional' s chain of command.

3 The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier ( T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3 ) number following the compliance statement. See AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms Management, Table for a description of the authorities associated with the Tier numbers. Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the Publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained IAW Air FORCE MANUAL (AFMAN) 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW the Air FORCE Records Disposition Schedule (RDS) in the Air FORCE Records Information Management System (AFRIMS). This AFMAN.

4 May be supplemented at MAJCOM level, but all supplements that directly implement this publication must be routed to AF/A4LR Logistics Readiness Division for coordination prior to certification and approval. Notify AF/A4LR of guidance conflicts between this instruction and any other DoD/USAF guidance or Technical Orders (TO). Pending case resolution, DoD. directives/TOs will take precedence. IAW the Paperwork Reduction Act and DoD policy, ensure that reports of information collections that are collected and/or are compiled and transmitted from the general public are cleared and licensed by the Office of Management and Budget prior to collection. Information that is collected from other DoD components or Federal agencies must be approved by DoD and licensed with a report control symbol.

5 See Attachment 1 for a glossary of references and supporting information. (ACC) AFMAN 23-122 is supplemented as follows. This supplement requires the collection and maintenance of information protected by the Privacy Act of 1974 authorized by 50 United States Code 797. The terms must, shall , and will denote mandatory actions in this supplement. This supplement does not apply to Air National Guard (ANG) or Air FORCE Reserve Command (AFRC); however, ANG/AFRC personnel assigned to Classic Associate Units supporting ACC units will comply with the guidance provided within this supplement. Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with (IAW) Air FORCE MANUAL (AFMAN) 33-363, Management of Records, and disposed of IAW Air FORCE Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
