9 Michaelby the authority of the Government of Barbados11 2002 Land RegistrationCAP. 229 CHAPTER 229 LAND REGISTRATIONAn Act to make provision for the Registration of titles to land and fordealings in land so registered, for the administration of theunregistered system of dealing in titles at the Land Registry,and for purposes connected therewith.[1st February, 1988 - Parts I and II][8th September, 1988 - Parts III to XX][13th November, 1989 - Part XXI]PART Act may be cited as the Land Registration the purposes of this Act"application book" means a book kept for the purposes of section 4;"adjudication record" has the meaning assigned to it by section 2 ofthe Land (Adjudication of Rights and Interests) Act;"attorney-at-law" has the meaning assigned to it by section 2 of theLegal Profession Act;"boundary mark" includes a triangulation station, traverse station, benchmark, fence, hedge-stone, pillar, peg, pin, tubewall or other markapproved by the Chief Surveyor for the demarcation of landboundaries.

10 2002 12 CAP. 229 Land Registration "charge" means an interest in land securing the payment of money ormoney's worth or the fulfilment of an obligation, whether arisingout of a condition or a contract, and includes a sub-charge andthe instrument creating a charge;"chargee" means the proprietor of a charge;"chargor" means the proprietor of charged land, or of a charged leaseor charge;"Chief Surveyor" has the meaning assigned to it by section 2 of theLand Surveyors Act;"Commissioner of Titles" has the meaning assigned to it by section 2of the Land (Adjudication of Rights and Interests) Act;"court" means the High Court;"dealing" includes disposition and transmission.
