Safety discharge valveA safety discharge valve and discharge pipe are fi tted to the boiler. This valve must not be touched. - The heating safety valve opens when the pressure in the heating circuit exceeds 3bar. Should there be any discharge from the pipe, which should terminate in a safe place outside the property, isolate the boiler s electrical supply and call your Installer, Service Engineer or Heatline s Service protectionThe appliance has a built in frost protection device that protects the boiler from freezing. With the gas and electric supplies ON and irrespective of any room thermostat setting, the frost protection device will operate the pump when the temperature of the boiler water falls below 8OC.
4 A timer is used so that the temperature can be checked periodically. After 10 minutes the pump will be stopped if the temperature is higher than 10OC or has already reached burner will activate if the boiler temperature does not reach 10OC after 30 minutes or at any time if the temperature drops to 5OC. The burner will switch off when the temperature reaches frost-protection system is active when the appliance is switched boiler controls cannot ensure that the installation is fully protected against frost. Any exposed pipes should be adequately protected and particular attention should be paid to condensate drains. An additional frost thermostat may also be domestic water circuit (hot or cold) is not protected by the boiler drain blockageDuring freezing conditions this may be due to the forming of ice in the condense drain external to the house. In this case, a safety device shuts down the 4 -Service Call 0844 736 9138, Technical Help (Chargeable) Call 0906 802 Data labelThe data label certifi es the country where the appliance is intended to be installed.
