1 CARPENTER CO. WEIGHT ESTIMATION GUIDE INTRODUCTIONThe following pages are CARPENTER Co. s updated WEIGHT ESTIMATION GUIDE . There are many new sizes listed in this book, and many of the weights have been estimated. Please remember this is only an ESTIMATION GUIDE for the amount of Rely product needed to fill tires. This ESTIMATION was calculated using a mathematical formula which is based on the outside dimen sions of the tire and thus includes tread and sidewall thicknesses. We emphasize again: this is an ESTIMATION GUIDE because tire cavities are not identical. There are no standards on cavity size in the industry. This is the reason you can proc ess ten tires of the same size and brand and each tire could have a different filled WEIGHT . There are also other reasons tires hold various amounts of Rely product.

2 For example stretch ing the tire casing can lead to a different WEIGHT . Any new bias tire can stretch from 5% to 10%. Radial tires will stretch as well, although not as much. Determining which tires will stretch and to what extent depends also on whether the tire is new, used or a retread. Each of these types will have a different amount of stretch, therefore each will take a different amount of Rely product to reach the desired , the correct way to determine the exact amount of Rely product a tire requires to be flat proofed is to weigh the mounted wheel and tire before and after it is filled to get the amount of product used. 3 No allowance has been made for filled WEIGHT variations (more or less) which occur between different tire weights for some tires have been revised to reflect a more accurate amount of fill. Although tires will take various amounts of fill we believe this is the most current listing of new sizes and weights available to the industry to the accuracy of CARPENTER s Rely WEIGHT ESTIMATION GUIDE : The weights shown in the charts assume the following;1. Tires are being filled with Rely T-25. The use of other brands and types of product will differ in The tires are mounted on the standard width rims listed. (Use of over or under sized rims will require more or less material respectively.)3. The tires are pressurized to 100 percent of the maximum recommended pressure for each tire. This can be found on the sidewall of the tire, or the Tire and Rim Associations Inc.

4 The diameters and section widths of the tires to be filled are in conformity with those specified by The Tire and Rim Association Inc. Yearbook. (Tires which do not conform to those standards may require significantly more or less material to fill.)5. Tires being filled are new tires which have been pressurized (pre-stretched) with air to their maximum rated inflation pressure for 24 hours prior to being filled to allow the casing to grow .
