Advisorv for all CBSE Affiliated Schools In the light of the confusion created by some of the schools with regard to the recent Circulars issued by the GBSE, it is deemed appropriate to issue this advisory for the larger interest of the stakeholders especially children and parents: Heads of all Schools affiliated with the CBSE may clearly note that: 1. Circular No Acad-5 and Circular No Acad-1 1/2017 dtd. 91312017. are two distinct Circulars. 2. Circular No Acad-5/2017 is for all schools/students pursuing academic scheme of studies with five subjects (6tn subject only as optional additional subject either a Language or a subject from the list of additional subjects offered at secondary level by the CBSE).)

Circular No Acad-11/2017 pertains to those CBSE schools that are offering vocational subjects as 6th Compulsory Subject under NSQF (vocational) scheme for students in Secondary classes and the first para of this Circular clearly states so. 4. There is no change in the Language Scheme offered by the CBSE. 5. The Heads of the School must familiarize themselves with the content of Circulars in its entirety and take action as per the spirit of the Circular / Directions / Curriculum Documents/ ByeJaws. 6. Schools are advised to disseminate only correct and factual information to the students and oarents.

Any misinformation or incorrect interpretation on the part of the school would result in vioiation of directions/provisions of the CBSE Bye-laws which may consequentially lead to action as deemed fit under the Rules. 8.
