1 CELLULAR PHONE AND data CONNECTIVITY POLICY . Tata Power enables officers to work with convenience & efficiency and hence facilitates voice & data CONNECTIVITY across the spectrum of activities related to their work. This POLICY defines the eligibility, procedures and guidelines for availing CELLULAR and data services for official &. work related purposes for officers. The POLICY is applicable April, 2017 and supersedes all other prior policies and communication on this subject. It is applicable to all officers in the Management stream and on the permanent rolls of Tata Power and select group companies - CGPL, MPL, IEL, TPTCL, TPREL,TPSSL, CTTL, PTL and any other company which may be incorporated in future with applicability of Tata Power HR policies - hereafter referred to as Company' in this POLICY .

2 This POLICY is not applicable to officers who are deputed or posted outside India. Any exception to this POLICY for officers in work level MC & below requires the approval of the Chief - HR and for officers in work levels MA & MB requires the approval of the CEO & MD. Preamble Increasing trend of digital interface & applications require the workforce to adapt to new ways of working while on the move (& otherwise as well) through mobile devices and apps. Work processes are increasingly being integrated and convergence of technology is meant to enable higher efficiency & productivity.

3 The POLICY envisages & promotes self-managed devices for official communication by officers of the organization. It provides the flexibility of choice in terms of make / brand of device, service provider, mix of voice & data , tariff plans etc. as per individual preferences & needs. Devices need to be owned and managed by individual officers and the cost will be credited annually based on eligibility. The POLICY aims to foster the ease of working through CELLULAR devices and it is expected that every employee will use various Company Apps in the course of their work. The POLICY details two aspects of Voice & data CONNECTIVITY for official purposes: 1.

4 Provision of CELLULAR PHONE set & data device 2. Provision of monthly usage of Voice Calls & data Usage This inclusive POLICY addresses the voice & data needs of all officers within the organization. Officers are expected to use the provisions of the POLICY with responsibility & in the best interest of the organization. 1. CELLULAR PHONE Set & data Device(s). All Officers across Work Levels are eligible for reimbursement / payment towards cost of self-owned PHONE and/or data device. Table1: Maximum Combined annual eligibility (`) for Voice & data devices Work Level Amount MA 10,000.

5 MB 7,000. MC 6,000. MD 4,000. ME 3,500. Eligibility amount towards cost of device(s) will be credited into the salary of officer with tax deduction as applicable. Alternatively, in case so opted, it can also be claimed by way of reimbursement for device(s) purchased by officers, balance of eligibility amount (if any). will be paid after deduction of taxes (together with reimbursement). Cost of insurance, maintenance & repair of the device is included in the comprehensive eligibility. In such case an option has to be indicated in online system meant for the purpose. For officers, who have been reimbursed cost of cell PHONE till end of FY17, the first credit will be effective on completion of 3 years.

6 Change in eligibility of amount in case of change of grade will have prospective effect. ENABLE employees and associates to ACHIEVE and UNLEASH their FULL POTENTIAL to deliver OUTCOMES in a sustainable way 2. Illustration: An officer in work level MD who last claimed reimbursement for a mobile handset in May 2014 will be paid ` 4,000 in the salary of June 2017 and thereafter, every June, (s)he will continue to receive that amount, as per his/her work level. An officer in work level MC who claimed reimbursement for a mobile handset in August 2016 will be paid ` 6000 in the salary of Sept 2019.

7 Thereafter, every Sept (s)he will continue to receive that amount, as per his/her work level. Officers may also opt for one device which can be used for both voice and data purposes (such as smart PHONE , tablet with SIM card etc.) or opt for 2 separate devices for voice ( CELLULAR PHONE ) and data ( data dongle / Wi-Fi device etc.). Irrespective of the choice of single or multi device(s), the amount paid (reimbursed) by the company towards cost of device(s) remains same. Reimbursement towards cost of device(s) may be claimed only once in an FY. 2. Voice & data Usage Officers can opt for pre-paid or post-paid connection(s).

8 Officers can exercise flexibility to select plan, value added services, service provider etc. as per their official needs. All officers in work levels MC, MD and ME are required to obtain, own & manage their respective accounts for voice & data connection(s). Such accounts are referred as Self Owned Self Paid (SOSP) connections. Officers in work levels MA and MB may be provided a post-paid connection for Voice & data usage which will be in the name of the company, referred as Company Owned Company Paid (COCP) connections. Officers in work levels MA & MB have the option to avail SOSP or COCP Account.

9 All officers are eligible to receive amount against cost of CELLULAR PHONE and data usage for official purposes. The maximum eligible limits for reimbursement / payment towards usage of CELLULAR PHONE and data device per month is as per Table 2. The monthly eligibility limits are inclusive of all cost against monthly rentals, VAS, call charges, taxes, data plan charges and all other charges. Guidelines Officers who opt for post-paid connections (single or multi devices) will be reimbursed within eligibility [A] or [B] limits on production of valid bills. Alternatively, officers availing post- paid connections may opt for payment of eligible amount without production of bills as per combined eligibility [B] which will be subject to applicable taxes.
