Cellulose single nanofiber, the world's most advanced biomass nanomaterial Wood is made of at practical application of high-function packaging materials entirely made of biomass (3~4nm) TEMPO The tree has a layered structure where fibers in various diameters gather. Cellulose microfibril, an aggregate of Cellulose molecules, is amicrofiber with a width at a nano level (3-4 nm) and a high degree of crystallinity and has superior characteristics that cannot be achievedartificially.
However, since it is firmly combined, complete nanodispersion was not possible before. The group led by Professor Isogai of theUniversuty of Tokyo has discovered that the microfibril surface is ionized through oxidation using TEMPO as a catalyst and the subsequentelectrostatic repulsion of the microfibril can easily lead to nanodispersion in water. The nanofiber achieved through this process is calledcellulose single nanofiber (CSNF). Using this technology, Nippon Paper is promoting the development of biomass nanomaterials. 3 One of theproperties required for preservability is barrier property. Since the barrier property of biomass plastic is low, only oil-delivered plastics havebeen used to make packaging materials, which require a high barrier property. However, by mixing Cellulose single nanofiber with biomassplastic as a basic material, we have succeeded in achieving a barrier property equivalent to that of the conventional oil-derivered plasticeven though the plastic is entirely made of biomass. Using this technology, we aim to develop environmentally friendly packaging materialsand electronic materials and parts with higher functions. 5 This material is obtained by recyclingraw-material-derived products generated in the paper manufacturing process with ouroriginal granulation technology (patent pending). It controls weed germination and growthby quickly absorbing water around the seeds and roots of weeds through small spaces ingranulated substances. In the meantime, since it allows rain water to drain into soil slowlythanks to its peameability, it does not inhibit the growth of existing & DevelopmentResearch Laboratory Research and Development Division,Nippon Paper Industries Co., Having focused on the superior water-absorbing properties of combustion ash generatedin the paper manufacturing process, we added fixation agents to the ash and processedit with our original granulation technology to create ZASSO TOMERU-kun.
By effectively using what could not be used as a paper manufacturing material as a newresource, we aim to reduce waste and form a recycling-based society. ZASSO TOMERU-kun can be easily laid on various places, ranging from roads andrailroad slopes prone to weed growth and flat surfaces, such as median strips, to parksand factory landscaping its major components is calcium, it meets the base value of the Soil ContaminationContermeasures, enabling weed growth control without contaminating the surroundingenvironment. ? 7 ( ) ( ) In recent years, paper base is attracting attention from the viewpoint of seekingresources that are alternative to oil. Paper containers are becoming commonfor pot noodles. While in the past heat insulation properties were added to papercontainers by creating a wavy surface or duplex/triplex configuration, there haverecently been new insulating containers (heat - insulating paper containers) withdistinctive feel to the touch.
For these cups, heat insulation properties are addedby heating and foaming the extruded layer created on the base paper. Thistechnology has been developed by our group company (DIXIE JAPAN LTD),and we provide the original it is necessary to controlthe characteristics of base paperwithin an even, appropriate rangein order to achieve superior papercup quality, we as a topmanufacturer of base paper forpaper cups ensure excellentquality in foam insulation cups byusing paper cup productiontechnologies we have cultivated. Heat insulation property , moldabilty , and beautiful cup surface are importantfor foam insulation cups. The New Base Material Laboratory is examining how toevaluate these quality characterics as they greatly influence the image consumershave of the product and its safety. The aim is to achive stable quality that issatisfactory to every of foam insulation cups goes through the following processes: basepaper making, extruding, printing and molding/foam processing.
Since eachprocess has a large influence on product quality, we supply the base paper thatis most appropriate from a comprehensive standpoint.
