4 How are applicants selected foradmission?Students meeting the criteria and who apply by theapplication deadline will be considered for committee selects students based on admissioncriteria and number of degree applicable coursescompleted. After selection, students will be required toshow proof of the following:CPR (health care provider) annuallyPhysical exam with proof of immunizationsBackground check clearanceDrug testWhat if I want to transfer toa four-year university?The Chaffey Nursing Program provides high quality,intensive nursing education. Students who wish tocontinue their education may transfer to a four-yearcollege or university. This program, leading to an Associate in Science Degree with a major in Nursing, is approved by the CaliforniaBoard of Registered Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road, Suite 850, Atlanta, Georgia 30326, 1-404-975-5000, ). The graduate is eligible to take the National Council for Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and, upon successfulcompletion, become licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. There are fees for obtaining licensureby examination or endorsement, interim permit, and biennial renewal. California law allows for the denial ofregistered nursing licensure on the basis of any prior convictions substantially related to nursing with prior convictions are required to provide proof of rehabilitation prior to taking the NCLEX.
