4 (3)Whenemployeesareexposedtosoundpressur elevelsexceedingthoselistedinTable17-1, , (4) :PersonalProtectiveEquipment17-3 May2007A ,suchasconstructionandrenovation,cancrea teharmfuldusts,fumes,mists, ,medicalclearance, :Thisdoesnotapplytothevoluntaryuseoffilt eringfacepieces(dustmasks).(1) ,TSAemployeesmay,onacase-by-casebasis,we arfilteringfacepiecerespirators(dustmask s) , ,RespiratoryProtection, ,thefacepiecetobefittested, ,ifanoccupationalsafetyandhealthprofessi onalpermitsthevoluntaryuseofrespiratorsi ntheworkplacewhereairbornecontaminantsha vebeendeterminedtobebelowOSHAP ermissibleExposureLevels(PELs)orotherrec ognizedexposurelimits,respiratoruseiscon sideredvoluntary.
