Title I Committee Meetings The Title I Committee (parents, teachers and community members) review and revise: parent surveys, SCHOOL data (for Needs Assessment), Schoolwide Plan/Local SCHOOL Improvement Plan (LSPI), Parent Involvement Policy, Parent Involvement Action Plan, SCHOOL -Parent Compact & Title I budgets.)
2 They also identify topics for parent workshops, make decisions regarding CHESNEY 's Title I program and may represent CES on Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). Parent/Guardians are recruited throughout the SCHOOL year through flyers (sent home, distributed at parent meetings & in Family Center), personal invitations, e-mails, Chief Notes (weekly parent newsletter) solicitations and SCHOOL website ( ). October 6, 2010 My Child is in ESOL Title I Parents Helps the ESOL parent understand the program to 11:00am-12:00pm Parent Workshop(s) include ESOL modifications, how ESOL teachers work & with the students, and testing in the ESOL program.

January 21, 2011 Academic Success & Promotion Title I Parents Parents will learn different test taking strategies and gain 10:00-11:00am Parent Workshop(s) a basic understanding of scores and their meanings. & (Assessment) Promotion requirements (K-5) will also be explained.

February 10, 2011. 4:30-5:30pm May 12, 2011 Kindergarten Kaleidoscope Title I Parents Parents and preschoolers visit to familiarize themselves 9:15-10:15am with CHESNEY , participate in a SCHOOL tour and take a SCHOOL bus ride.
