1 Study: Kenosha tops cities for Trick-or-treating due to safetyFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEOct. 20, 2017 For further information contact:Kris KochmanCommunity Relations LiaisonCity of Kenosha The City of Kenosha was ranked among the ten best cities in the nation for trick-or-treating, according to a recent study by Smartasset, a personal finance technology company based in New York. Kenosha got high marks for its low crime rates, which translated to a safer place to Police Chief Daniel Miskinis confirmed that Kenosha has a good track record of safety related to trick-or-treating.

2 We have had safe trick- or- treat for many years here in Kenosha , Miskinis said. We have extra patrols in place on foot, on bike and in automobiles. We encourage parents to discuss safety with their children, not only on safe trick-or-treating, but also on ensuring the treats are safe as well. Many children, parents and grandparents participate, Miskinis added. We are prepared to keep their activities safe. The Smartasset study used seven factors in determining the best places for trick-or-treating: population density, percent of residents under the age of 15, home values, violent and property crime rates, precipitation and temperature.
