TIPS FORCLEANING ROUTINE OWipe down the refrigerator shelves before going grocery shopping. This keeps your refrigerator CLEAN most of the time and makes it less of a hassle when you have to CLEAN it.
2 ORun your kitchen sink tap water on hot before you run the dishwasher to warm up the water and make your dishwasher start with hot water. OKeep a small baking pan for uncooked meats in the refrigerator to keep your refrigerator shelf CLEAN . OIf you have little ones that love bath time and are old enough to play independently while you are in the bathroom with them, CLEAN IT with CLEAN mama products, of course! OStop using a top sheet. This simplifies bed making when paired with a duvet and launder-able duvet cover.
3 OKeep your daily used cooking supplies on a cutting board by your stove for easy access and less CLEAN up. OPut daily items like dish soap, hand soap, counter spray, toiletries, etc. on a dish or tray. This makes cleaning the counter easier and helps to contain those supplies. OStart in the worst area first and keep going with that momentum. This is why I CLEAN bathrooms on Mondays. If this mindset doesn t work for you, start with something easy first! OChoose cleaning supplies that you enjoy using. Color coordinate or just choose supplies you like the look of I find that having cute supplies make cleaning more fun!
4 ODon t put it off get it over with and get on with your day. OListen to a podcast, audiobook, or your favorite music think of it as an escape. OCall someone and chat while you re cleaning. Chances are you ll enjoy the conversation more than you realize that you re cleaning. OMake it a game set a timer and race yourself. OInvite someone over you will probably get more done in a shorter period of time. OReward yourself with something that motivates you when you accomplish your goal. 5 Makes a multi-load day feel like it goes faster. ODo it daily! Wash, dry, fold & put away. OLaundry bags! Makes sorting to fold so much easier. OFor white laundry add 2 slices of lemon. OI like to place delicate items on top of the dryer to dry them without all the heat. OFold items before they cool from the dryer. OTime yourself folding/putting away a load. Make it a game to beat your last time. OGet the kids to spray stains before putting in the laundry. OMy washer has DELAY START. I load it the night before and set it to wash early the next morning.
6 O Do it! Spencer W. Kimball OWhen doing a load a day, throw everything in together! Mesh bags FTW. OKids make great dryer unloaders. OClean your machine! OIf you have a large detergent with the nozzle throw the plastic lid in the washer to CLEAN it. OWash a load of hang dry in the evening. Dry overnight fold and put away the next morning. OSeparate laundry that hangs and clothes that are folded so you re doing only one task per load. OVinegar for softener! OYour tips! Wash ALL kids clothes separately from parents.
7 Less sorting is nice! OOne load a day and separate hampers for presorting have saved me. ODIY baking soda scent booster and vinegar as softener for the softest towels! OI have to leave a laundry basket in the hall outside of the laundry room to remind me that I have laundry going. OIf there are too many loads because something got in the way of laundry day, take it all to a laundromat and get it done all at once. Very FORMEAL PREP OTaking a writing inventory changed my my budget OLay containers out for lunches ahead of time!
8 Will save on dishes. OKale salad keeps for days - put chicken salad on top for easy lunches. OBuy family packs of meat in bulk and marinate in freezer bags - one recipe, multiple freezer meals. OWhen dinner is cooking, use that time to wash dishes and make breakfast smoothie packs for morning. OAlways have chopped onions in the freezer. OBaskets! When I get home from the store I put all the food for each meal in a separate basket. OPlan ahead at the grocery store. OI make sure my Friday meal is crockpot, this is the day I ll order in if it s not prepared.
9 2021 CLEAN mama , LLC OCook once, eat twice. Repurpose leftovers into another meal. ODouble or triple Sunday night dinner and transfer extra food right into meal prep containers. OAlways cook 2-3x more than you will eat. Cook once, eat 3x. OShop and prep on separate days. Plan meals out on Fridays for the following week. OSmoothie packs. I prep 6-12 individual zip locks with my ingredients for smoothies. OPrep all veggies and fruits so they are ready to grab and eat or cook. OCreate seasonal meal lists so you don t have to brainstorm a meal plan each week.
10 OCooking on weekends. OPrep snacks along with meals. OA manual chopper to speed up that tedious process. OAlways double or triple a meal that freezes well. OMeal plan with a calendar in front of you! Choose do-able recipes for your schedule. OPrep several pieces of chicken (boil, Instant Pot) shred with mixer and season. OWash, cut and place in containers in front of fridge. Easy to grab. Easy to use. OShredding chicken in my KitchenAid stand mixer! OTheme days. Meatless Monday, Taco Tuesday, Freezer Friday (my fave).
