1 Coach herzog s PAP Geometry Course Information Coach Cameron herzog PAP Geometry / SAT prep Football and Track E-mail: Phone: 281-245-4684 Room: A207 Classroom Expectations 1) Be in the classroom and seated when the bell rings. 2) Be prepared and ready to work once you have entered the classroom. 3) Class is dismissed by the the bell. 4) While instruction is taking place, students will stay in their desk unless otherwise instructed. Required supplies 1) Pencils 2) Graph notebook Textbooks Each student will have the opportunity check out a textbook and is responsible for it all times.
2 Students will have access to an online version of the textbook. In addition to the textbook, the site includes tutorials and a graphing calculator tool. PAP Geometry uses the following scale for calculating grades: Major 55% Daily 45% Major grades consist of test and/or projects. Students may re-test any exam where mastery is not meet with the exception of the last test given within a grading period. Minor grades may consist of homework, quizzes and any in class assignment. Quizzes may be counted multiple times. Homework The homework grade can be daily homework assignments or come from a quiz taken at the end of each week.
3 Homework will be assigned most nights and kept up with in order to achieve sufficient grades on the quizzes. Attendance Attendance is a necessity and expected. Missing even one day can put a student behind. Please encourage your student to be in class every day and to be on time. Tutorials Students are encouraged to attend tutorials whenever necessary. During tutorials, a student may get help on a topic he/she does not understand, may get help on a topic missed due to an absence or school activity. Tutorials are also available for students seeking to correct errors on unit/chapter tests and/or to complete make-up work.
4 I am available for tutorials in my classroom in the morning as long as I receive prior notice from the student.
