8 Please enquire with your local representative, distributor or other third party NAV: Calculated using closing prices of D NAV known: D+1 Settlement: D+3 FUND COMMENTARY Lacklustre data releases on the Eurozone economy and continued uncertainty about US trade policies weighed on European stock markets in August: the MSCI EUROPE index declined by in euro terms. The Eurozone economy grew in the second quarter of 2018, a slowdown compared to the GROWTH recorded in the first quarter. Rising inflation may have reduced consumer spending. Moreover, concerns about politics and trade impacted economic sentiment. The business climate indicator fell to its lowest reading for a year, while consumer confidence dropped markedly.

9 The fund performed well, driven by positive results announcements and some multiple expansion. Wirecard, a top performance contributor, had already pre-announced its first-half results, but provided more detail on the +26% organic sales GROWTH . Management slightly raised its profit guidance for the year and updated its targets for 2020, implying ongoing strong GROWTH and high profitability. Straumann announced very strong second quarter results with a further acceleration in organic GROWTH to +20% as demand for their premium and increasingly non-premium product range continues to grow. Travel IT leader Amadeus announced the acquisition of TravelClick, a Business Intelligence leader in the hotel sector, further enhancing their position in this GROWTH segment.

10 Among the detractors to performance, retailers Inditex and Associated British Foods (owner of Primark) fell on the back of adverse currency movements and unusually warm weather in August which dampened high-street spending. Iliad, the French telecoms company, fell sharply as industry data pointed to market share losses in both their fixed line and mobile operations. The company subsequently announced that they have returned to positive net adds in July and August. Portfolio fundamentals have remained intact following a very encouraging second quarter earnings season. However, in a number of cases they have been accompanied by a steady increase in the price earnings multiple.
