5 HOW IT WORKSHOW IT WORKSHOW IT WORKSHOW IT WORKS A conventional heat exchanger modulates the steam inlet to control the outlet water temperature. The COMPACKCOMPACKCOMPACKCOMPACKHEATHEATHEAT HEAT controls the outlet water temperature by modulating the condensate outlet and flooding the heat exchanger. In summary instead of modulating the differential temperature as a conventional design, the COMPACKCOMPACKCOMPACKCOMPACKHEATHEATHEAT HEAT SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION SOLUTION uses the heat transfer surface by varying the condensate level according to the process demand.

10 The unit controls the hot liquid outlet temperature by modulating the condensate level into the heat exchanger according to the process demand. The design utilizes the sensible and latent heat of saturated steam by subcooling the condensate. Supply steam pressure to the unit shall be constant. Conventional design with modulating steam pressure supply is not accepted.
