It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Peace Operations Training Institute and our 2022 Catalogue of programmes and at POTI, we offer self-paced e-learning on peacekeeping and related topics to students worldwide. The majority of our students are military peacekeepers, police, or civilian humanitarian relief workers already deployed on peacekeeping missions or in training for deployment. We provide over 2,000 enrolments weekly, and our students study in situ at their own pace in English, French, Portuguese, and most gratifying part of our work at POTI is hearing directly from you, our students.

I wish you success in your message from Executive Director Harvey LangholtzExpand your knowledge of UN peacekeeping and related subjectsThe Peace Operations Training Institute (POTI) offers self-paced e-learning courses on current topics in peace support, humanitarian relief, and security operations. The curriculum builds solid, practical knowledge of peacekeeping operations and related topics.
3 It includes courses written by a former Military Adviser to the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (DPO), a former Force Commander, published authors, experienced peacekeepers, and scholars who are recognized experts in their fields, as well as courses developed in partnership with the Australian Federal Police, the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), the Centre for Military Ethics at King s College London, the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), the University for Peace, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
4 Relevant coursesWith 30 self-paced e-learning courses to choose from, you can learn wherever you are, whenever your schedule enrolmentVisit the POTI website at < > to enrol. Course materials are delivered immediately online, or printed materials can be mailed to the student directly. Bulk enrolment programmes can be made available to institutions upon studyEach Course contains all needed reading materials, learning objectives, and self-scoring End-of-Lesson Quizzes. At the completion of their studies, students have two opportunities to earn a passing grade of 75 per cent on a unique multiple-choice End-of- Course Examination through their online classroom.
5 Upon passing the exam, they are awarded their own customized Certificate of the POTI website, students may enrol, download their courses, submit their exams, email their Course authors, participate in discussions and webinars, watch introductory Course videos, and experience other online features. However, students with no internet access may still receive support through post, fax, or telephone. Students may also use the POTI mobile application to access their study studentsStudents from 194 countries have enrolled in our e-learning courses, both as individuals and as members of organizations that blend POTI e-learning into their own training programmes.
