3 City Councilmembers serve as Mayor, on a one-year rotating basis, by majority vote. Regular Meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesday of each month starting at 6 (except canceled meetings). Upcoming Meetings: May 23, 2018 June 13, 2018 June 27, 2018 July 11, 2018 August 22, 2018 September 11, 2018 City Council meetings are broadcast live on Cox (Channel 19), Time Warner (Channel 24), and AT&T U-verse (Channel 99). The meetings are typically re-broadcast on the following Thursday and Monday at 6:00 City Council meetings are webcast live on our agenda/video posting page and are archived the next day for future viewing.

4 CITIZEN COMMISSIONS Citizen Commissions act in an advisory capacity to the City Council and thus are referred to collectively as "advisory bodies." Advisory bodies may formulate recommendations and assist the City Council in addressing community concerns and needs. Authorized supporting legislation to protect net neutrality. Approved opposing any new offshore oil and gas drilling and supporting any legislation that opposes the America First Offshore Energy Executive Order.

9 FEBRUARY 2018 Approved the launch of the Solana Energy Alliance (SEA) Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Program Phases 2 and 3, authorizing the associated procurement strategy, setting the public hearing to consider the rates, and authorizing the execution of required SDG&E agreements. Approved San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy s Development Review Permit (DRP) at 640 Highway 101 to perform native habitat restoration and minor grading and to construct public trail improvements, an extension of the Coastal Rail Trail (CRT). Approved revisions to the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and adopting it as the official plan of the City.

10 Appointed Jeffrey McMillan to the Public Arts Commission with a term expiring January 2020. MARCH 2018 Authorized the purchase of a replacement vehicle for the Marine Safety Department. Authorized the implementation of a one-year pilot regional bikeshare program and participated in a Request for Information (RFI) to seek information from vendors with the resources to pilot a bikeshare program. Authorized a Request for Proposal for an affordable housing development on City-owned property located at 635 S. Highway 101. Solana Beach shorelines 4 Composition of City Council Electoral Districts The City will hold the following public hearings concerning the Composition of City Council Electoral Districts: Wednesday, May 30, 2018, 6:00 PM, City Hall Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 6:00 PM, City Hall Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 6:00 PM, City Hall The purpose of the prior public hearings on May 14th and May 15th was to begin receiving public input regarding the composition of potential Council election district boundaries.
