1 MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COVID-19 Testing Recommendations Situation or setting Recommendation Symptoms of COVID-19 Get tested immediately, even if you have been vaccinated and/or had a prior COVID-19 infection Exposure to someone with COVID-19 Get tested 5 days after exposure In-person school settings* Get tested if you have an exposure, new symptoms, and any time it is recommended or required by your school or program Attended a large gathering indoors, or outdoors with no social distancing Consider Testing with a rapid test on the day of the event and 5 days after a higher risk event (for example, a large indoor event where people were not masked)

3 **CDC recommends that travelers are up to date on all recommended COVID-19 vaccines before travel. People who had confirmed COVID-19 in the past 90 days do not need to test unless they have symptoms. People with symptoms of COVID-19 should not travel. ** Some countries may require Testing prior to travel. Check requirements of your destination and any layovers before you travel.
