A full background Check includes both State and FBI checks. The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Criminal Justice information System (CJIS) oversees Criminal History Records Checks. History Records checks are conducted by being fingerprinted.

2 Upon receiving an application for a psychology license and the $ application fee or a psychology associate registration application and the $ fee the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists will email you a CJIS authorization number and a FBI ORI number. You will need to give these numbers to the person that performs the fingerprinting. The cost is $ ($ background Check and $ fingerprinting service) However, the cost of fingerprinting services from a private provider can vary. The fee must be paid directly to the provider.
