January 2019 - Annual Patronage for the Rockwood Festival of the Arts FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE and LION'S CLUB MOVIE: Stonewall's Annual Festival of Lights Santa Claus Parade will take place on Friday, DECEMBER 7th, 2018.

3 Beginning at 7:00 pm On Saturday, DECEMBER 8th, the Stonewall Lion's Club is sponsoring a movie at Flicks Cinema. Show times are at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm Admission is free, the concession stand is open, and everyone is welcome. These are both great family activities to participate in! Please remember to bring a tin for the bin to support our local food bank! CHRISTMAS SPIRIT: At this festive time of the year, many of our students like to purchase a little something for their teacher. While this thoughtfulness is appreciated, we would like to suggest that rather than giving a gift to the teacher, a donation be made to the Christmas Cheer Board or to the charity of your choice. OUTDOOR PHYS. ED/OUTDOOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY BREAKS FOR STUDENTS: When the weather is questionably cold, we will contact the Environment Canada weather office or local weather station to determine the windchill hazard/temperature at that time and decide if outdoor activity breaks will take place.

4 Please remember to dress your child appropriately for all outdoor activities. Interlake School Division Guidelines Temperature/Windchill of -30 C or lower = indoor activity Temperature/Windchill of -25 C to -29 C = outdoor activity for fifteen minutes (15) maximum PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL: Christmas Concert Food Drive: PAC has teamed up with the Interlake Food Bank and will be raffling off 4 FRONT. ROW SEATS at each holiday concert. On the nights of the Christmas concerts, ONE free raffle ticket will be available with a non-perishable food donation (a limit of one free ticket per family per concert please). Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the concert for $1. Half of all the monetary proceeds and all the food donations will go to the Interlake Food Bank.

5 The draw will take place immediately before each concert and you must be in attendance to win. Thank you to everyone who supported our gift card fundraiser. INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION: School may be cancelled due to inclement weather, extreme cold (Wind chill of -45. degrees C or greater or temperature of -40 degrees C), or hazardous road conditions.
