DEKALB s Curbside Recycling Program is a voluntary subscription-based program available to residents who receive solid waste collection services from DEKALB s SANITATION Division. Single-stream and yard trimmings recycling collection occur on the same day as garbage collection . 4 This integrated approach comprises garbage, recyclable materials and yard trimmings collection , processing and disposal services, with a sustained focus on customer service excellence. In 2017 , the division will embark on several environmental sustainability initiatives, including Phase II of the DEKALB COUNTY School District s recycling program, and a countywide glass recycling recycling program. Branded Read Write Recycle, this program aims to introduce and continually promote innovative and sustainable recycling program initiatives and participationwithin the DEKALB COUNTY School District s schools and recycling program.

5 Aimed at preserving glass as a valuable recyclable material, avid glass recyclers will have an alternative to placing glass in curbside single-stream recycling containers. To support this effort, COUNTY -operated glass recycling containers will be strategically placed in each commission , we have made great strides toward sustainability, and we are still on that journey. We encourage you to join more than 77,000 single-family homeowners currently enrolled in the division s curbside single-stream recycling program.
