The admissions shall be made under two categories: DIRECT and SPONSORED The candidates, who Have three year regular diploma in any branch of Engineering for DIRECT category and relevant branch for SPONSORED category, awarded by any state board of technical education/diploma recognized by AICTE, DELHI with a minimum aggregate (aggregate of all six semesters/three years) of 55% (45% for SC/ST) shall be eligible to take admission in B.

2 Tech (Evening) Program being offered by DTU. However for the admission under SPONSORED category shall be available to the candidates having more than 5 year of experience as on 1st September, 2017 in reputed organizations registered under company act or having valid TIN/GST No. and located in the National Capital Territory of DELHI and contiguous industrial areas within 50 KM distance Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Sonepat, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida & Gr. Noida) and Gurugram. Such candidates have to submit NOC from the employer. The self sponsored candidates shall not be eligible for admission under SPONSORED category. The Bulletin of Information containing details of the admission procedure, Application form and Syllabi of the Entrance Examination shall be made available on the web site of UNIVERSITY ( ) (Monday). (Evening) Entrance Admission 2017 DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (Formerly DELHI College of Engineering) is one of the premier Engineering Institution in India. It has a chequered history spanning over 75 years. Established as DELHI Polytechnic in 1941 by the then Government of India, it became DELHI College of Engineering (DCE) in 1963 which has now been reconstituted as DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (DTU) vide DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY Act 6 of 2009.

5 As per the DTU Act, DELHI Act 6 of 2009, the DTU is a non-affiliating teaching and research UNIVERSITY focusing on growth with quality , offering new programs in emerging areas of engineering and technology, ensuring synergy between science and engineering, will attract the very best and qualified faculty in its fold and contribute effectively to cutting edge technology development and foster world class innovations. The DTU thus aspires to be a leading World Class Technology UNIVERSITY , a key node in National and Global Knowledge Network thus empowering India with the Wings of Knowledge and Power of Innovations as per its vision. DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (Formerly DELHI College of Engineering) imparts education and training in 15 branches of engineering at under graduate level during morning session, 4 (Evening) programs are being offered in evening session with an intake of 240. Full time and Part time postgraduate programs are offered in 22 specialized fields of engineering and science.

6 Programs are offered in all the branches of engineering, applied sciences and management. An MBA program with focus on Technology Management and Supply Chain Management is also being offered under DELHI School of Management (DSM) of DTU. 1. About B. Tech. (Evening) Program (Evening) program is of four years duration. The classes are held six days a week in the evening from to Some of the classes may be scheduled to be held on holidays, including Sundays, during the day time. The detailed information about B. Tech (Evening) program is as under: I. The admission to B. Tech (Evening) program shall be made in two categories: DIRECT and SPONSORED. II. 7 Tech (Evening) Program being offered by DTU. III. The candidates admitted under DIRECT category shall be allowed to seek campus placement through Training & Placement, DTU. However, the candidates admitted under SPONSORED category shall not be allowed to seek campus placement through Training & Placement, DTU. IV. The admission under DIRECT category shall be available to candidates as per clause (1) without any requirement of experience and NOC from employer, However for the admission under SPONSORED category shall be available to the candidates having more than 5 year of experience in reputed organizations registered under company act or having valid TIN/GST No and located in the National Capital Territory of DELHI and contiguous industrial areas within 50 KM distance Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Sonepat, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida & Gr. 8 The self sponsored candidates shall not be eligible for admission under Sponsored category. The condition of 5 year experience shall be determined by 1st September 2017. V. For DIRECT category, the candidate having diploma in any branch of Engineering may seek admission in any branch of his choice offered in the Evening program. However, for SPONSORED category, the students having diploma in relevant branch may seek admission in relevant B. Tech (Evening) program only. VI. The present intake in each branch is 60 out of which 40 and 20 seats shall be offered to DIRECT and SPONSORED categories respectively. Accordingly, the detailed distribution of seat matrix is as given below: *7 seats (3% of total seats) are reserved for PWD category (4-GEN., 1-SC, 1-ST, 1-OBC) VII. For DIRECT category seats, there shall be one combined merit list based on common entrance exam (CEE) for admission to B. Tech (Evening) program for all branches.

9 The candidate having diploma in any branch may seek admission in any branch of his choice from the available seats strictly as per the rank in merit list of relevant category. In case more than one candidate have same rank in the CEE, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as stated in the eligibility conditions will form the basis of merit for admission. In the event of marks in the qualifying examination also being equal, the candidate born earlier will be given preference. VIII. For SPONSORED category, the branch wise merit list shall be based on the marks awarded at diploma level and admissions shall be offered strictly in compliance of branch wise merit list. In the event of marks in the qualifying examination being equal, the candidate born earlier will be given preference. IX. The vacant seats in open and sponsored categories are interchangeable. Reservation (a) The reservation in admission for all the B. Tech. (Evening) Programs for SC/ST/OBC shall be provided as per the policy of Govt. of DELHI approved by the Board of Management of DTU. 15%, , and 27% of the total seats in each program are reserved for SC, ST and OBC category respectively during session 2017-18. Candidates seeking admission under these categories must produce the SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of DELHI .
