Release Type and Definition Dell wyse Windows 10 IoT Enterprise ( 64-bit ) MR2 software is designed to run on Dell wyse hardware platforms wyse 7020 thin client with Win10 IoT (Z90Q10) and wyse 5020 thin client with Win10 IoT (D90Q10). New releases are created to support new hardware platforms, correct defects, make enhancements, or add new features. These releases are tested and supported on current, actively shipping hardware platforms, and those hardware platforms that are within their first year after their official End of Life date.

3 After the one year time period new software releases are no longer certified for use with the earlier hardware, even though it is possible that they may still work. This allows us to advance our product with features and functions that might not have been supported by the earlier hardware, with previous generation CPUs and supporting components. Version Release MR2 (Maintenance Release). Release Date August 24, 2016. Previous Version Release MR1. Client Software Licensing and Maintenance Options Dell wyse thin client software maintenance is required to be able to receive new versions of thin client software and subsequent releases of corresponding documentation and tools.

4 Use of this software on more than one device requires that you first purchase from Dell wyse additional copies of, or licenses for the software. Support Information The following two platforms are supported: wyse 7020 thin client with Win10 IoT (Z90Q10). wyse 5020 thin client with Win10 IoT (D90Q10). Note: WIE10 64-bit build requires minimum 4 GB RAM with 32 GB for both supported platforms. New Features The new features included in Windows 10 IoT MR2 release are: Dell wyse vWorkspace Dell wyse vWorkspace provides flexible and platform independent access by delivering virtual workspace from multiple virtualization platforms.

5 Dell wyse vWorkspace version is supported in this release. Ericom Connect-WebConnect Client Ericom Connect-WebConnect Client can be accessed either as a stand- alone application or on a network. Ericom Connect-WebConnect Client version is supported in this release. Ericom PowerTerm Terminal Emulation Ericom PowerTerm Terminal Emulation enables connections to a single or multiple hosts through remote and network connections. Ericom PowerTerm InterConnect version is supported in this release. SCCM Support This release supports SCCM with the client version General Features This section explains about the general features of Windows 10 IoT: Product Name: The Windows bit 10240 displays the product name as Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB Version: Build 10240.

6 Unified Write Filter: Windows 10 IoT supports only Unified Write Filter (UWF). The cache size of UWF is 1024 MB. Windows Defender: Windows Defender is not updated automatically. By default, the signatures are old. To update the latest signatures, you must disable the write filter, and then start the Windows Update services before manually updating through the Windows defender console. 7 O You can disable or enable the Host Name Calculation. o You must ensure that altering the MAC ID for a client does not perform a Host Name Calculation. o If you require a host name calculation to perform after a change in MAC ID (NIC card change), then you must use MINWITHNET. Event Viewer log preservation o This feature allows you to enable and disable the preservation of Event Viewer Logs. o This feature allows you to enable or disable the Event log, and save the Event log while Write Filter (UWF) is turned on. This helps you to collect event logs for debugging or analysis purposes, if required.

8 Dell Thin Client Application o Dell Client Application is a replacement for Client Information Application with a new User Interface (UI). o This application contains additional fields for accessing and configuring Custom Fields, RAM Disk, Auto Logon, System Shortcuts, and About and Support. o By default, the RAM disk size is set to 512 MB. Premium Codecs Installed The following Premium Codecs from Microsoft are supported in this release: o - Only lights up if hardware support is present. o - New software implementation (primarily used in phones).

9 O ALAC - Apple Lossless Audio Codec. o FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec. o AMR-NB- Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR or AMR-NB or GSM-AMR) audio codec. o Dolby-2 Channel - This is the only third party codec for which Microsoft covers the license. Auto Logon Experience Every time the user restarts the thin client, the thin client automatically, logs on to the user account. If the user signs out from the user account, the user will not be able to auto logon to the user account again and the user logon window is displayed. Dell Branding o This release includes Dell Wallpapers, Logos and Themes.

10 O Manufacturer name in System Properties is changed to Dell Inc. o This build includes the latest Dell Copyright 2016 for all Dell wyse Applications. Internet Explorer (IE): Internet Explorer cache settings amounts to 100 MB. of disk space. Temporary Internet files, cache, history locations are set to C. drive instead of Z drive. Citrix Receiver o By default, the Citrix Receiver icon is available in system tray. You cannot set the server URL by clicking the system tray directly, unless you start the PNA using Citrix Receiver icon available on the Desktop or Start Menu.
