FACULTY OF ARTS : course & DURATION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA MODE OF ADMISSION UNDER-GRADUATE COURSES [3- YEARS] A pass in 2-year Intermediate course of or + 2 Examination recognized as equivalent thereto. By the colleges based on the merit at the qualifying examination, subject to Rules of reservations prescribed therefor *For combinations of course please refer to Annexure I BFA (Photography) [3 Years] A pass in Intermediate or its equivalent By the college based on Aptitude Test conducted for the purpose BFA (Applied Arts) [5 Years] A pass in SSC or its equivalent ------do----- BFA (Painting) [5 Years] A pass in SSC or its equivalent ------do----- POST-GRADUATE COURSES I.

SANSKRIT i) A pass in Degree Examination securing 40% marks in aggregate under part II; AND (ii) Must have studied Sanskrit either in Part-I or Part-II OR Passed Senior Diploma in Sanskrit offered at Nizam College, Hyderabad.

6 -do- 4 FRENCH i) A pass in Degree Examination securing 40% marks in aggregate under part II; and must have studied French either in Part I or Part II OR ii) Advanced Diploma in French or Diploma de langue(from Alliance Francaise) -do PERSIAN i) A pass in Degree Examination securing 40% marks in aggregate under part II; AND ii) Must have studied Persian OR Arabic OR Urdu as one of the subjects either in Part I or Part II of the qualifying examination -do PHILOSOPHY A pass in securing 40% marks in aggregate under Part II -do- ISLAMIC STUDIES i) Any graduate with 40% marks in Part II with History/Islamic Studies/Philosophy/ Sociology/ Political Science/Economics as one of the optionals in Part-II (or) ii)Arabic/Persian/Urdu as second language((Part-I) or optional (Part-II)

7 With 40% marks in Part II -do- LINGUISTICS A Graduate in with any language subject having studied for two years for minimum of (200) marks with 40% marks in Part-II -do- 5 THEATRE ARTS A pass in securing 40% marks in aggregate under Part II. The candidates must have a minimum of two years of stage experience. Knowledge of Telugu is desirable. Candidates who are dumb, deaf or blind or stammer or Physically Handicapped are not eligible. Through an Entrance Test conducted by the University for this purpose, subject to rules ,regulations & reservations prescribed therefor.

[1 -YEAR] A pass in BCJ with 40%marks -do- PG DIPLOMA COURSES PG DIPLOMA IN URDU PALEOGRAPHY [1 -YEAR] i) A pass in in Urdu OR ii)Passed (Languages) Urdu with 50% marks Through an Entrance Test conducted by the University PG DIPLOMA IN APPLIED LINGUISTICS [1 -YEAR] I) A pass in PG Degree in any Language/ Literature OR ii) in Hearing Language & Speech OR iii) Any other related subject which offers any one of the braches(theoretical or applied) of Linguistics as one of the papers.

9 -do- PG DIPLOMA IN FUNCTIONAL HINDI & TRANSLATION [1 -YEAR] i) A pass in Hindi OR ii) A Pass in in any language and having Hindi either as optional or as language at degree level. -do- PG DIPLOMA IN MUSEOLOGY [1 -YEAR] For fresh candidates: i) A Pass in MA (AIHC&A) with 50% marks with Museology as one of the subjects of study OR A Pass in MA History with Medieval History paper as specialization with 50% marks. For inservice candidates: A pass in Bachelor Degree Do 6with 3 years relevant experience in museums PG DIPLOMA IN ARCHIVAL SCIENCE AND MANUSCRIPTOLOGY [1 -YEAR] For fresh candidates: A pass in MA(AIHCA)/ MA (HISTORY)/MA (INDIAN CULTURE) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

10 For inservice candidates: A Bachelor Degree with 3 year relevant experience in Achieves/Record rooms and libraries including Oriental manuscript libraries. Do OTHER DIPLOMA COURSES JUNIOR DIPLOMA IN FRENCH/GERMAN/ RUSSIAN [1 -YEAR] A pass in Intermediate or its equivalent A special Entrance Test will be conducted for this purpose SENIOR DIPLOMA IN FRENCH/GERMAN/ RUSSIAN [1 -YEAR] A pass in Junior Diploma in the concerned foreign language securing 50% marks OR as second language at Graduation level in the concerned foreign language A special Entrance Test will be conducted for this purpose ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN FRENCH/GERMAN/ RUSSIAN [1 -YEAR]
