2 Pollutants are directed towards the sump of the chamber while treated flows travel around the inner annulus to the outlet. Design and SizingThe Hynds Downstream Defender is sized to treat either a specified catchment area or a design flow rate to meet a water quality design for first flush treatment. Systems vary in diameter from 1200mm to components are installed in a standard precast concrete manhole manufactured to AS/NZS and NZBC requirements. The internals, inlet pipe and outlet pipe are installed at the factory. Dip Plate Cylinder Acts as an oil/floatables outlet Pipe Discharges treated stormwater from the inner As the flow spirals around the vertical axis, sediment settles towards the base and is swept inward, along the benching skirt.
