2 Unlike some squeeze packers, workstring manipulation does not open or close the poppet valve. The poppet valve allows operators to place cement below the packer and check backflow. 3 The steel hose and swivel are hooked to the top of the drillpipe, and circulation begins. During circulation through the pipe or tubing, the packer is worked up and down, which clears debris from the packer and packer circulation is stopped, the workstring is rotated the specified number of clockwise turns.
