3 Please read this manual carefully FIRST in order to get the most out of your KODAK Webcam . Important Notice: The KODAK dual Webcam is Plug & Play on WINDOWS OS and MAC OS compatible computers (see Computer System Requirements section) and does not require a separate driver. You can use the KODAK Webcam directly with Webcam enabled VOIP applications including SKYPE and other popular instant messengers. These applications provide their own settings for the Webcam . We recommend installing and using the Control Center for KODAK Webcams software in order to get the most out of your Webcam .

6 1024 x 768 or higher-resolution monitor QUICKTIME 6 or higher 5 A Quick Look at your KODAK Webcam Fixed Focus Lens LED Clamp Microphone USB 6 Using your KODAK Webcam To use your KODAK Webcam as a Plug & Play device with the VOIP and instant messenger application you have installed on your computer, follow these instructions: Mini Tripod Tripod Socket Clip Angle control screw Adjustable leg Tripod Socket 7 1. Connect and plug the USB cable attached to the Webcam into an available USB slot on your computer.
7 2. Your KODAK Webcam will power on. 3. The first time you plug your Webcam into the computer, wait a few moments for the computer to recognize your KODAK Webcam . 4. Placement of the KODAK Webcam : Place the KODAK Webcam on a flat and sturdy surface and swivel the lens in the direction of the object you wish to capture. You can also clamp and position your KODAK Webcam on any LCD monitor by opening and adjusting the clamp on the base of the Webcam . 8 Alternatively, you can place the Webcam on the Mini Tripod mount: o Adjust the three retractable legs by pulling out the bottom of each leg to the appropriate height.
8 O Open the Webcam clamp and attach the tripod socket clip to the bottom, front part of the clamp. Be sure the part that attaches to the tripod socket is facing down. Then close the Webcam clamp. o Mount the Webcam onto the tripod by twisting the socket clip onto the universal tripod socket. o To tilt the Webcam , adjust the smooth ball head on top of the camera by loosening the screw on the side above the tripod legs. Once you have chosen the desired angle for the Webcam , tighten the screw to secure the tilt. 9 5. Open the VOIP or instant messenger application you have installed on your computer (example: SKYPE Software) to recognize and setup your Webcam .
9 Once the Webcam is recognized in a session such as SKYPE, the LED light will light up. 6. This KODAK Webcam is preset for optimum focus. However, if during shipping the focus has changed, you can fine tune the focus manually by turning the focus lens left and right. If needed, you may also fine tune the focus when changing Webcam placement - between using the tripod mount, placing on a flat surface or on your LCD monitor which may alter the focus distance. 7. To suit your capture environment, select the Webcam s setup settings option within the application you are using, if you need to change the Webcam settings (Brightness, Contrast, Hue, etc.)

Once the image sharpness and clarity is to your satisfaction, save these settings and begin to use your KODAK Webcam with your VOIP, video conferencing or instant messenger application. 10 Installing the Control Center for KODAK Webcams Software Warning: Do not remove the installation CD from the computer until the software installation is complete. You must be connected to the Internet to install and run the Control Center for KODAK Webcams software. 1. Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation screen automatically opens. 11 2. WINDOWS OS: The Control Center for KODAK Webcams Installer window appears.
