4 Discard clothing and other absorbent materials thathave been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product's concentrate. DO NOTreuse them. Follow manufacturer'sinstructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keepand wash PPE separately from other Dicamba XPherbicide Directions For UseIt is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. DO NOTapply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Onlyprotected handlers may be in the area during any requirements specific to your State or Tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide CONTROLS STATEMENTWhen handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets the requirements listed in the WorkerProtection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR (d)(4-6)], the handler PPE requirements may bereduced or modified as specified in the WPS.
5 Pilots must use cockpits in a manner that meets the requirements listed inthe Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR (d)(4-6)]. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDSKeep out of lakes, streams, or ponds. For terrestrial uses, DO NOTapply directly to water, or to areas where surface wateris present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. DO NOTcontaminate water when disposing ofequipment washwater or rinsate. Apply this product only as directed on the label. This chemical is known to leach through soil into groundwater under certain conditions as a result of agricultural use. Useof this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result ingroundwater NOTdischarge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans, or other waters unlessaccordance with the requirements of a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and thepermitting authority has been notified in writing prior to discharge.
6 DO NOTdischarge effluent containing this product tosewer systems without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plant authority. For guidance contact your StateWater Board or Regional Office of the AND SURFACE WATER PROTECTIONP oint source contamination. To prevent point source contamination, DO NOTmix, load this pesticide product within 50feet of wells (including abandoned wells and drainage wells), sinkholes, perennial or intermittent streams and rivers, andnatural or impounded lakes and reservoirs. DO NOTapply pesticide product within 50 feet of wells. This setback does notapply to properly capped or plugged abandoned wells and does not apply to impervious pad or properly dikedmixing/loading areas as described below. Mixing, loading, rinsing, or washing operations performed within 50 feet of awell are allowed only when conducted on an impervious pad constructed to withstand the weight of the heaviest load thatmay be on or move across the pad.
7 The pad must be self-contained to prevent surface water flow over or from the pad. Thepad capacity must be maintained at 110% that of the largest pesticide container or application equipment used on the padand have sufficient capacity to contain all product spills, equipment or container leaks, equipment washwater, andrainwater that may fall on the pad. The containment capacity does not apply to vehicles delivering pesticide shipments tothe mixing/loading site. States may have in effect additional requirements regarding wellhead setbacks and must be taken when using this product to prevent: a) back-siphoning into wells, b) spills or c) improper disposal ofexcess pesticide, spray mixtures or rinsates. Check valves or antisiphoning devices must be used on all mixing by surface runoff or through soil:DO NOTapply under conditions which favor runoff.
8 DO NOTapply toimpervious substrates such as paved or highly compacted surfaces in areas with high potential for groundwatercontamination. Groundwater contamination may occur in areas where soils are permeable or coarse and groundwater isnear the surface. DO NOTapply to soils classified as sand with less than 3% organic matter and where groundwater depthis shallow. To minimize the possibility of groundwater contamination, carefully follow application rates as affected by soiltype in the Crop-Specific Informationsection of this by water erosion of treated soil: DO NOTapply or incorporate this product through any type of irrigationequipment nor by flood or furrow irrigation. Ensure treated areas have received at least one-half inch rainfall (or irrigation)before using tailwater for subsequent irrigation of other SPECIES CONCERNSThe use of any pesticide in a manner that may kill or otherwise harm an endangered species or adversely modify theirhabitat is a violation of federal SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONSUSERS SHOULD:Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
9 Removeclothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Remove PPEimmediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, washthoroughly and change into clean NOTapply this product through any type of irrigation applying DuPont Dicamba XP herbicide, read all directions and precautions appearing on the container label and inthis booklet. Failure to follow all directions and precautions may result in unsatisfactory weed control, crop injury, or InformationDicamba XP herbicideis formulated as a water-dispersible granule intended for use in a spray to control and suppress manyannual, biennial, and perennial broadleaf weeds, as well as woody brush and vines listed in Table 1. Dicamba XP herbicidemay be used for control of these weeds in asparagus, corn, cotton, conservation reserve programs, fallow cropland, grass grownfor seed, hay, proso millet, pasture, rangeland, farmstead (noncropland), small grains (barley, oat, triticale, wheat), sorghum,soybeans, sugarcane, and of ActionDicamba XP herbicideis readily absorbed by plants through shoot and root uptake, translocates throughout the plant ssystem, and accumulates in areas of active XP herbicideinterferes with the plant s growth hormones (auxins)
10 Resulting in death of many broadleaf ManagementAlthough Dicamba XP herbicidehas a low probability of selecting for resistant weed biotypes, tank mixes and rotation withherbicides possessing other modes of action are recommended to avoid weed following directions apply to all uses of Dicamba XP herbicide. Additional precautions and restrictions will be found ineach specific use section. DO NOTtreat irrigation ditches or water used for crop irrigation or domestic uses. DO NOTapply this product through any type of irrigation system. MIXING AND APPLICATIONUNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED UNDER THE INDIVIDUAL USE HEADINGS OF THIS LABEL, THE FOLLOWINGDIRECTIONS APPLY TO ALL CROP AND NONCROP USES OF Dicamba XP HERBICIDE. REFER TOINDIVIDUAL USE SECTIONS FOR ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS, APPLICATION RATES XP herbicideis a water-dispersible formulation that can be applied using water or sprayable fluid fertilizer as thecarrier.
